With my recent upgrade to Wyndham Diamond status, I decided to experience a Wyndham property for the first time and understand how the benefits work in practice. While exploring additional offers, I found a promotion that awarded one free night for every two nights stayed, so I enrolled in it before my trip.
Stay Experience -I had a 10‑day official trip planned and chose to stay at Ramada Plaza. Prior to arrival, I emailed the hotel requesting a room upgrade based on my Diamond status, but the response was not very encouraging. Upon check-in, the hotel initially declined a suite upgrade and instead offered only a step upgrade. However, after reaching out to the General Manager, they upgraded me to a suite for the entire 10‑day stay,
Rewards Earned - After checkout, my Wyndham account was updated with:
In total, this effectively gave me 5 free nights, this was my first-ever stay with Wyndham and I had no prior transactions on the account.
