Wallet load cashback

I have a basic question - Why do we use wallets instead of paying directly from credit cards?
Which is better - pay using credit cards or load to wallet and spend from there?

I have been using Rupay credit card on UPI for QR scans and direct credit cards for POS swipes.
I haven't used wallets for payments. What is the additional advantage of using wallets?

some usecases..

till now.. no longer from Jan onwards

Eterna through pazapp = around 1.8%

which can use anywhere tatanue infinity helps (scan and pay) where it provides 1.5%.

so, its actually a UPI card without UPI till now.

also, eterna since last year gives 0 rewards on swgy/zmto puchases.

but through payzapp you'll get extra 5% through vouchers + some extra cashpoints time to time.

= 7%

also, eterna provides 0 reward points for transportation on uber/ola. same process gives around 7%.

its not wallet actually, its a prepaid card like alternative credit card where our card fails or not provides it gives.

After Massive devaluations of almost all credit cards in last few months or so, does Standard chartered Smart credit card still gives 2% cashback on wallet load to MobiKwik?? Please anyone let me know if you can.
