Westin Rishikesh Himalayas - Beautiful Experience

Thanks for sharing the experience. Planning to get into marriot bonvoy and treat my wife to a good stay experience someday. Posts like these really help out !!

At 25K MBP i don't recommend it for redemption as its far from Rishikesh & nothing to do outside of resort. Affiliated 3rd party fun services are also not active . Max you just hike few miles on mountain thats all

Some pics from my side too … took one drone shot too … booked through points (19.5k / night ) in May 2024 … some recent experience I’m sharing

1) must book via points redemption only as the tarrif rate is on higher side … 2 nights stay is more than enough .
2) Breakfast was 1000+gst per person … Dinner/lunch - 2500 + gst pp… Don’t go for ala carte menu …it’s way on the higher side & don’t expect complimentary breakfast irrespective of any MB status you are in .
3) No ola / uber in that whole area … You have to take their cab service … they will charge you km wise …
4) Must visit their japanese restaurant TOYA ….
5) Pool view is spectacular .
6) Don’t miss ganga aarti & high tea
7) In morning you can go for trekking & if you have time then must visit Kunjapuri temple … Guide will assist you surely .
8) Must try their Garhwali thali …. That’s it

Thankyou @BVC for Starting this thread … memories refreshed 🤪

I had Gold status. On request, they provided breakfast on all the 4N I stayed over there as mentioned. When was your stay? Did they alter now?

In may 2024 … I’ve heard from many others that they don’t allow irrespective of the status … I also asked them when the chat option got active in the app … but straight away no ❌…

As a policy, any Platinum Elite member or above (+1 guest in the room) can select daily breakfast as their "welcome gift choice" for stay across Westin globally.

Further, in Asia, especially in India higher status elite members are pampered and really looked after. From my experience with Marriott properties in India having an elite status does provides perks beyond their SOPs and offerings. Furthermore, for elite tier members, breakfast is offered in addition to the welcome gift choice (e.g., bonus points credited after the stay) here in India.

I stayed at this property in April '24 for 5 nights. Perks included daily breakfast, room upgrade (to garden suite with plunge pool) and more. I didn't have to use the suite night upgrade for this. The service, F&B and specially the breakfast spread was amazing!

That said, I would not pay the asking revenue rate for this property. I have seen the points go up from 15K/N (when they started) to ~20K (when I booked) to now current average rate of 30k. I still think the 30K points for this is still reasonable. However, this is located far from Rishikesh (45 minute+ travel time each side). Five nights felt like overkill for a solo trip to this hotel/resort. I travelled to Rishikesh on four out of the five days I stayed here.
