What is the benefit between transfer infinia points to air miles versus direct booking through smartbuy?
I understand we can book 100% reward ticket by transferring infinia points to air-miles without any monthly limit whereas in smartbuy we've 75k redemption points limit per month and also only 70% redemption of total flight price.
But popular airlines like Qatar and British airlines give half price value means 1 infinia point = 0.5 avios points.

Anything else i am missing. Thanks !

Use points for direct booking of flight n hotel don’t transfer to air miles as the value u get is less. If transferring the. Tanshiq or apple is best at 1:1 ratio but again it depends on what r u looking for

Best use of INFINIA points New
Always use (70%) points ONLY to buy air tickets directly on Smartbuy
Don't even book hotels using points, because for booking hotels (upto 49950 per day/month) using INFINIA full card payment you will get 33% return in the form of points (1665 base 1x points + 14985 as 9x bonus points) which can be valued at 1 rupee if used for air tickets on Smartbuy.)

Tanishq has got a high mark up over the value of gold while Apple products are highly over priced compared to USA.

A worse option is to transfer to air miles partners because the air miles are worth 60 to 66 paisa only.
Statement credit is the worst option.

Ideally use HDFC infinia on Smartbuy for --
Pharmeasy medicines 10x for 33% return
Hotels 10x for 33% return
Amazon pay 5x for 16.50--3.54% return

Kindly mark this as your solution. This is the best possible genuine advice from a holder of INFINIA, Magnus Burgundy, Atlas and all the best cards available.

Transfer to airmiles makes sense only if you are travelling by Singapore airlines business class. For rest of travel options and economy travel, book via Smartbuy directly

It used to make sense to transfer to air miles when the ratio was 1:1 last year, Now it is useless in most cases. Best use case now is, redeem points for smartbuy flights.

Don't even book hotels using points, because for booking hotels (upto 56250 per day/month) using INFINIA full card payment you will get 33% return in the form of points (3750 base + 15000 bonus points) which can be valued at 1 rupee if used for air tickets on Smartbuy.)

UK trip in few months, thought to use avios points, but smartbuy booking seems best option.

I think this a subjective question. In most cases you need to look at what gives you the best rewards

Generally what i have seen is, while transferring points to airmlies people wait for offers - which allows them to get more airmiles point in the conversion
Also airlines do run offers where you can buy tickets at lower airmiles. Just combination of both will provide you a great value
