You are right. But there’s a catch. For airlines like Vistara which is on fixed pricing this will work. For other airlines like United and others it may not since there is dynamic pricing.

But from what I have read here on this forum I have seen someone mentioned that it is worth around 50p. It is not a great redemption. The best redemption for domestic travel would be Vistara.

There is a vistara miles calculator that you can use to check the miles required for the flight. That way you can calculate the value by checking its price. For vistara, miles remain constant but the value keeps changing as the price keeps changing.

Also I have an advice as a person who has been using airline miles for travel for a very long time. It’s your personal happiness that matters, and not getting the maximum value. Always calculate the value of the point based on which you are ready to pay for the flight to what if you had paid in cash. That would give you a realistic value.

There are some routes that gives you more than Re.1. For example, I was able to check for a random date for BLR-GAU to check.

don't book on spice club they charge more miles. SC required 15k miles to book 2 flights Del to Ahmedabad while Club Vistara required 8k miles to book the flight.
