Around 5 lakhs to purchase a Sony 85 inch TV. Had to split it on a 3 month EMI as IDFC had some 30k cashback only on EMI. Really annoying and now even after 2 months of paying it off, they are showing my balance as 4 lakhs on CIBIL.

Could you please explain how? There was no cost apart from around 1k that IDFC charged for processing. You can simply add the amount of 3 EMIs and see that it should equal the total purchase price minus 30k and it did. There was no scam and nothing paid by me.

as i said if it was a no cost emi then no interest was being paid
its just that you would purchase the product at mrp and the discount being offered upfront goes to bank in case of no cost emi
but it was a interest emi that 30k indirectly was born by the consumer
