1. Dont run after Indian food or culture when you are travelling. As far as possible at least on short trips try to experience the local cuisine and culture.

Food and culture is one of the biggest part of any country and experiencing that is one of the biggest part of "experience"

After 2-3 weeks I also get bored of their food and get back to my comfort food but the memories you will form trying out local things will stay with you for life. Dont deprive yourself of that just because of a little discomfort.

2. Be confident. Dont feel in awe of the westerners or any ethinicity. All countries have the same distribution of intelligence in their populace irrespective of how entitled they behave

Ulta sidha khane se dast (liquid potty) lag jate hai .
That's we should carry out own food

One point i forgot to mention...Always carry basic medicines with you....In most of the foreign countries, it is not easy to get medicines from chemists like in India....Healthcare is too expensive in USA/Europe etc

Some countries custom do not allow to carry specific medicines which can be carried only with prescription

Take a prescription from any local doctor if you are carrying any such medicine.

Last but not the least take travel insurance and it is very cheap in India
