When the SmartBuy cashback(Rs. 1000/- cap) will be credited, if purchased using Millenia Debit Card

TF Buzz
1) I have purchased gift vouchers using CC, and the cashback was reflected within 5 days in the same billing cycle. But When I bought it using a debit card it's been 15 days now.
I am talking about the Smart Buy Cashback, not the DC 5% cashback.

2) Also, will I get 2.5% extra as it was also an online spend or will it be counted in the smart buy/Payzapp(5% on DC) category?

1. First of all, TAT is 90d for all.

For CC they generally credit in 2d, for DC they take around 30d.

2. Yes, @desiviru has a thread on millennia DC confirming 12.5% on gift cards.

While I have confirmed receiving 12.5% myself, some people here telling they only got 5% sbuy + 5% millennia dc specific only and not the rest 2.5%. Since May, 2024 I have been using it for 16K direct CC payment, I will have to transact next month to see it. Will pay 14K next month and rest amt of Rs.750 on Sbuy Voucher which will provide 37.5 normal and rest Rs.12.5 under 2.5% online. That will clear out again but for that we have wait till April.

Hm, the thing is I have also maxed out the cap, by taking 10% CB, So even if Rs. 400 got credited I won't know whether it's 12.5 or 10%.
Currently, I don't have millennia CC so I don't mind, But after I got one then I need to channel it properly by taking 12.5% or 10% may be.

Also, do you pay your CC bill from the bank's website? In TnC, it states that there is no CB on CC bill payments.

And Sbuy voucher of Rs 750 will give 56.25 considering (5%+2.5% DC Cb).

How 56.5? When already for 14K payment I will have 350 and then for 750 it will be 37.5 and rest 12.5 will left. If total 400 comes it will clear that 12.5 is given under 2.5% online else we will get that they have fixed it and giving 10% instead of 12.5%.

Millennia CC don't give 10% as it don't have specific Smartbuy/Payzapp 5% extra. CC only give 5% smartbuy cashback and 1% online. I have CC and DC both.

Leave the Sbuy CB

if you consider 5% (Sbuy DC) + 2.5% (Online DC) = 7.5%
7.5% of 750 will be 56.5

if 400 came then it's clear that we are getting 7.5% from Sbuy Vouchers...
if 387 came then we are getting 5% only.

so you can check by not buying anything else on the DC after purchasing the 750 voucher,
as you have Millenia CC so can stop using the DC at right time(after hitting 400 cap on DC) and get the CB for other transactions (i.e. 1% ) on CC.

Do you know any other way to pay utilities using a voucher other than Apay as it has a 3% Fees?

Bro, I think you are failing to get point here. Did I wrote anything different? Where I am including 5% sbuy cashback? When you use Millennia DC, you get 5% from sbuy and 5% from Millennia DC card itself.

Simple: A txn of 14K for my cc. payment at 2.5% of it = 350.

Now out of 400 Rs.50 is left. If I buy 1000 voucher it will give 50 Sbuy cashback under promotional points and 50 Millennia DC 5%. The 400 liit will exhaust. That's why I have kept it at 750 only.

With 750, I will get 37.5 Sbuy Cashback (which has a separate 1000 cashback per month) and 37.5 Millennia (That is part of 400). Now 350+37.5= 387.50 with 12.5 left. If they provide 2.5% on this 750 voucher too it won't go beyond 12.5 as 400 is max. You are getting confused by saying 56.25 because you are taking 37.5+18.75 which is not possible as with 12.5 left rest 6.25 won't come at all.

The Smartbuy Cashback of Rs.1000/month and 5%/2.5% upto Rs.400 Millennia Cashback on using At Smartbuy/Online is different.

When you buy APay voucher using Millennia Debit Card from Smartbuy, you get 5% + 5% for sure.

Suppose you buy Rs.5000 Amazon Pay voucher. You get 250 cashback from Smartbuy (out of 1000/month max. limit) + 250 as Millennia Cashback (out of 400 per month max. limit). Total: 500 and if online 2.5% of txn is included you will get 375 (250+125 out of 400 limit).

So total 625 which is 12.5% and you minus 3.54% of Amazon convinience fee and stay happy with 8.96% savings.

What I mean was as you also said that some people are saying that they are getting only 5% DC CB on Sbuy Txn not the 2.5% online spends.

So I was saying that after buying the 750 voucher don't buy anything else on DC, if 387 comes it will be confirmed that they are only giving 5%.
And if 400 (350+56 obviously 400 cap) came then they are giving 5% + 2.5%(online spends as on Sbuy transaction too).

Only to know if 2.5% is also given on Sbuy voucher txn

Also from where do you pay the CC Bill as you are getting the 2.5% on that too as it is not included in TnC...

Bro, Millennia DC gives 2.5% on all online txns including tax payments except some merchants and on website it is written that you won't get cashback on CC bill payment but that is only when you use HDFC BillPay website on Netbanking or App and pay via Debit Card. At other places, you get it. There is already a dedicated topic here.

That's what I was looking for as to where I wrote that I will buy more than Rs.750. When I clearly explained everything, there was no need to mention that again. English is a funny language and it has different sense for same thing. You missed few words there which created a doubt.

When it comes to Mathematics and Calculations, @6ix9ine and I are Ramanujan of TechnoFino. Just kidding.... 🤣

Seriously, after doing SBI's calculations, this millennia calculation looks like chullu bhar paani

xD Yes, You gave me a 400-word reply that's why...

It's my habit to go in details. Sorry for being me. :face-with-tears-of-joy:My post always need to be read more than 2 times because of so many paragraphs.
It's actually good of you, maybe because I also do the same so could be biased, but it's beneficial to write in detail because the next question XYZ person might ask is more likely to be answered with a detailed explanation.
