So first of all today is my birthday(candies for all) and I've tried opening various apps and they have been wishing me Happy Birthday. So thought to create a thread to see which all apps and sms I am going to get and to list them all out
So when I opened Swiggy and Zomato to check for New Year Eve parties the first thing on both Apps is happy Birthday order on you special day something like that. The third app was Mobikwik putting a popup the moment I opened it to say Wish you a Happy Birthday.
Why I dont like the fact is
1. I am trying to follow a diet I know I will cheat on New Year's Eve night (which happens to be tomorrow night) I dont want Swiggy and Zomato them giving me any more motivation to cheat today also. Even though they will get money only if I order from outside so I can understand why they will be encouraging that.
2. I opened Mobikwik for doing something I dont want unnecessary popup coming up which is irritating. I honestly dont care if they wish or dont wish me on my birthday.
3. Another one was the SBI Credit Card Customer Care for some reason thought it was really good to wish you everytime you called this month (which for some reason turned out be a lot) So that was another extra 10 seconds in IVR every time I am trying to connect to the executive
3. I am trying to forget the fact my 20's are over and beginning my 30's I dont need apps and IVR keep reminding it to me everytime I would rather get 5 - 10 or whatever the number of birthday wishes from my close friends than I dont know how many sms and notifications I will get otday for my birthday from various apps
So just beginning the list in alphabetical order will update them as I get more notifications, emails or sms from others today
