I recently apply for the same & received is 8 working days all the benefits are available on rupay website.

Earlier it was advantage a/c but rupay select was not showing in that then I converted to Super saving account

Yup you will get full benifits of Rupay Select

Yeah seems like upgrade the account is the only option in order to get the Rupay Select Debit card later you can downgrade the account if you don’t want to maintain.

No you will not be able to use rupay card if you will downgrade in future, Bank will block your card.
So upgrade the account only if you can maintain the MAB otherwise you will just end up payment DC charges

I recently decided to get the RuPay Select Wellness Debit Card, while keeping my costs (MAB+Issuance+Annual Fee) to a minimum. After some research, I found that Bank of Baroda offers this card at the lowest Annual Fee of ₹590 with no issuance fee (better than JSFB). Yes I have already seen this thread earlier but I asked the same to one of my relative who is BM at BOB he told it will be blocked based on that I am telling rest I have not tried it personally.

One thing to note, Professional account does not allow apply physical debit card online. You need to do that via branch. While Super savings account allow online apply.
