Which card to use for Advance Tax Payment

Hi

Which card is best for advance tax payment.

Currently I have Axis Atlas, HDFC Infinia, ICICI Emerald Emirates.

Please suggest which is best among there and is there any other card which gives good rewards for income tax payments, then pls suggest those also, will apply for them.

probably no points on any as it is government transaction. You can try with UPI on Rupay CCs like Tata Neu Infinity but not sure if that’ll work either and cb won’t be that much. It won’t have fees on UPI so doesn’t hurt to try

Normally every axis card excludes by default.. there may be some exceptions that we are not aware of

You should check with axis support, so far I haven't noticed any exclusions on my burgundy DC. I get RP on all TXns

I would recommend using Vistara Infinite card though if the amount is above 1L. You will get ~3% vistara points + 10,000 Vistara points bonus + 1 business class ticket. {valid for new card}

I think Atlas gives 2 miles per 100 for government spends. So it's best reward rate is 4% which is sweet

Paid advance tax for 1.2 L from IDFC wealth via HDFC gateway (0.85%+GST).

So what I could gather from this forum the net gain will be around 1.2% after deducting pg charges and then 1% CB while paying the credit card bill.

Glad I got the idfc wealth card only for tax payment purpose after getting to know from the forum. Thank you TF community.

Where are you getting 1% CB on 1.2L bill? Using paytm?
