Which card to use for Advance tax payment?

You can complete the milestone of 4L through tax payment. But do note that you will pay a surcharge of 1.07% and you will not receive base rewards.
There's no milestone for Platinum charge though - were you thinking of Platinum Travel CC?

I was asking for Amex Platinum Charge Card. A friend has and wanted to know if its useful for tax

i used stanC ultimate in sep and got 5 RP per 150 and no surcharge. i was shocked and wasnt sure what to make of it. I did another payment few days back and this time also they gave 5 RP per 150 but with a surcharge of 0.8% + 18% GST .

SC is known to charge surcharge on subsequent statement cycles if not charged at the time of transaction.

I paid 60k adv tax using IDFC wealth CC. No extra charges, no gst too. Has left me wondering till now.
After your comment, checked for points in app. To my surprise, extra amount is added. There are are rps but not sure how much it is.
Is this legal? I mean, payment gateway not showing the extra fees and gst?

Transaction charges are mentioned on income tax site. And some payments gateway adds later. Same is also true for education spends.
