Guys phonepe is changing mcc for cc bill using rupay dc, a friend of mine works there, they received a mail from npci couple of days back, a bank has complained to npci of financial loss due to misuse in terms of rewards points due to wrong mcc, npci is highly escalating it

They have identified the changes need to be done, not sure when it will be deployed, probably tomorrow most likely. NPCI forwarded the idfc's complaint to phonepe lmao☠️, they had 20+ mail going to different teams trying to identify the issue within a hour

1. if we apply first tap to idfc wealth debit card then we will loose visa variant and move to rupay variant?
2. Will this means we no longer get the lounge benefits?

No, you will get add-on RuPay debit card (2nd debit card).

Both primary visa card and add-on RuPay debit card will co-exist.
