Not sure but try Phonepe app. I think you will get different merchant name there.

checked, it only gives upi, net banking and credit card option, debit card option is not there

There is no limit for Debit card but max 1 lakh at a time.

My testing with Phonepe and IDFC rupay
1. 10th april paid my icici CC for small amount 900 with phonepe banglore ka IN ---------- No points credited
2. 14th april paid my indusCC for small amount 1900 withWWWPHONEPECOM Gurgaon --- got RP but it is 1 point for 150 i.e = 1900/150*1
earlier, when 49,000 of my kotak, i had got 2 RP for each 150

Looks lots of inconsistency. After opening, these 3 CC payments made

From what I understood in this thread, I have sbi account and idfc 10k MAB account..if the cc bill is <50k/month , then better to use sbi VDC 0.5% via unipay, MobiKwik ,amex bill pay ( as idfc gives only 0.3%) and for >50k+/month cc bill( via freecharge & phonepe) then idfc rupay tap card for 1.6% ....pls correct me if I'm wrong.

Can you please confirm if Mobiwick + SBI VDC gives points ?????

Bro there are no exclusions on SBI other than account to account and account to wallet transactions, you should definitely get the rewards

I'm trying to use idfc first tap card for those 2000 points for 1st transaction, phonepe is showing phonepe pvt ltd and freecharge isn't allowing to pay after entering card details and click on pay 🤦 what a luck lol😆

Use Freecharge app for cc bill payment and get idfc rewards and no extra charges using RuPay variant.

Try any other freecharge account. Freecharge block some account for dc spend because once a upon a time you used freecharge app on multiple devices or multiple accounts login on same device.
