Which Debit Card to use for Credit Card Bill Payment in February & March 2025

I requested IDFC to manually credit the pending 8000 welcome + spend based reward points of my new firstap card.
However, they only manually credited the transaction reward points and did not credit the 8k welcome rewards (as I hold a wealth account).

Did idfc stop giving welcome reward on firstap cards ?

Nope, I got the FirsTap around ~3 weeks ago but there was a huge delay on the points credit, I just got it a week ago.

@Abhishek012 - i recently noticed a change in IDFC rewards portal. Dont see any option to use points to purchase apay or any other voucher. It's asking me to purchase it. Any suggestions here?

Portal updated.
Apay cannot be redeemed with points, need to be paid only, and get 2% reward points on that.
All others, including FK voucher and Amazon shopping vouchers can be redeemed with points.
Max 40k points can be redeemed for vouchers per day.
Flight tickets can be booked with RP for a max of 70% of Flight tickets value with a convenience fee of 300.

Choose the gift card
Choose the denomination and click buy now
Om the next page,
Select the account/card from you want to redeem RP, and drag the cursor to select the amount of points you need to redeem
Verify your name, phone and mail.
Then click Buy
Automatically the codes gets generated
Keep a screenshot of that code.
You'll get a mail of the codes too.

Choose the gift card
Choose the denomination and click buy now
Om the next page,
Select the account/card from you want to redeem RP, and drag the cursor to select the amount of points you need to redeem
Verify your name, phone and mail.
Then click Buy
Automatically the codes gets generated

You'll get a mail of the codes too.

Bro, apply Virtual SBI RuPay debit card, these are physical cards.

hii i wanted to get vdc but i dont have an Sbi acc so was thinking of opening one but I'm not sure like if i open the savings acc on online basis via yono app will i be eligible for vdc or do I've to visit a branch fot normal savings acc opening so that i could get a vdc also wanted to know is there any option that i could just get the vdc and not the physical debit card as this has charges on annual basis and vdc as you already stated doesn't have any charges as of yet and its being offered as Ltf also has better reward rate than physical dc of sbi.....?

Lucky you. In my case they did not credit the 8000 welcome rewards for my first transaction above 2k via firstap card. They just gave me the normal reward points.

Yes, apply 2nd IDFC debit card, IDFC firstap RuPay variant.

No extra charges on RuPay variant for phonepe app cc bill payment.
