KrisFlyer Miles Which partner to transfer for Krisflyer miles?

So I am planning a trip with Singapore Airlines requiring approx 120000 miles.

Currently have 10000 miles in krisflyer account and need to decide for 110000 miles tranfer.

Options:
1. Transfer all 110K from HDFC Infinia points
2. Transfer approx 80K from Amex (2:1 ratio)- So will need 160K Amex points
3. Transfer partially (30K from Axis MB, 40K from Amex and rest from HDFC)

I am not sure which option to use or for that matter does it even make sense to use SQ for award flights?

Alternatively if you can wait a little then wait for Marriot sale.

There you will get 30% extra.

So transfer 46154 MR = 60000 Marriot = 25000SQ. (Try to earn 12308 more points and get 50k SQ).

Essentially 1.84:1.

Rest transfer from the 2nd most useless card after Amex i.e. HDFC.

Now be nice and give me rep points.

What is the per point value you are getting by booking via SQ miles?

Apprx 1.6 to 1.8 Rs per point basically booking business class for 45k points which costs 80k approx

Issue is.. not sure I can wait for Marriott sale as my card will be due to renewal before that and I want to get rid of plat charge this year.


So seems will have empty my HDFC followed by Amex

Been transferring all my points from Atlas to Accor because I don’t trust axis and was thinking to transfer Amex to Bonvoy during 30% bonus period.
I'm planning on a trip to any Sea country early next year but also looking for an airline partner.

From your detailed post it seems like I’ll be able to transfer from Amex>Bonvoy>SQ?

Am I missing something?

Thanks for the info. I redeemed 24k for apay vouchers when I didn’t know much about the miles game. Now i have 114k points and waiting for Bonvoy transfer bonus but I’ve heard it’s not coming this time.
Is there any monthly cap on Bonvoy>Krisflyer?

Dont bank on Bonvoy. the program is now highly devalued and even normal hotels have high points requirements. You are actually better off transferring to airlines like Krisflyer or similar if you have travel plans as worst case you will get 0.8Rs per point and best case up to 2rs per point.

I wanted to ask how the expiry of points work on Krisflyer. Suppose i try 1000 points in dec 2024 and another 1000 points in dec 2025. How long before the 2024 batch expire? Or transferring the 2025 batch will increase the validity of 2024 batch? Because that’s how it works in MB.

KrisFlyer miles are valid till 36 months as per its app. So it means each transfer will have separate expiry like in club vistara
