I have a tax payment due this month so I am trying to figure out which credit card I should use to earn the max rewards.
Currently I have come up with the following:
BOB Eterna : 3.75% but capped at 5000 points
AMEX payback : 4% in taj gift vouchers (₹12,000 gift voucher on spend of ₹3,00,000) but it requires a convenience fee of 0.55% and reward is in form of gift voucher
AU LIT : 2.5% by activation 10X rewards on online purchase (Need to confirm if 10x is valid on tax payments)
IDFC Select : 2% with 10X rewards (Need to confirm is 10x is valid on tax payment)
Flipkart axis : 1.5%

I guess SC ultimate/ HDFC infinia / axis magnus would have been the best option but I doubt I would be able to get those before the end of the month.

Please share your suggestions

We need to identify cards which give rewards on tax payment.

I verified for Axis Magnus using hdfc gateway (payu). I got the points.

What other cards allow IT payment related rewards?

1) Magnus - verified 1.2% + 5% milestone
2) IDFC wealth - untested
3) IDFC select/ Millennia - unverified
4) Eterna - devalued (low points)
5) Axis Flipkart - unverified
6) Axis Ace - 2%

What tax did you pay? GST or IT? Can you elaborate on the process?
