Will my hotel booking using hdfc smartbuy count towards ITC membership spends for tier upgrade or i need to book only through ITC app/website/customer care?
Any alternative method like purchase ITC vouchers and use for redemption through hotel booking will eligible?

Yes.

You will get elite night(s) credit but not club itc points, in my experience.

I tried this based on Siddharth's (Card Expert) feedback and it worked.

thanks,I need 3 elite nights or 34k spend for next tier, so better to book using smartybuy + Infinia for 33% returns. 🙂
If i book through ITC and purchase ITC vouchers from smartbuy, i will get 19% returns.

Usually hotel bookings via 3rd party platforms do not count for any status related increments / accruals

Other sureshot option is to book via ITC directly and settle the bills via ITC vouchers purchased via Smartbuy... this will surely help in all status related accruals

If you book through 3rd party platform u get points only in hdfc and not itc. Book directly on itc website for points to receive on itc and you will get regular points on hdfc card instead of accelerated.
