Windows 11 PC and the password ?

Hi,
Most of you know that I have bought a Lenovo LOQ laptop in bijili billi deals of FK. When win11 was setting up it only asked for microsoft account and I have given my personal msft account. It asked me to set up PIN at that time and I did the same.

Now the issues are
  1. How to make it to switch to password instead of the 4 digit PIN ?
  2. It is not even prompting admin password while installing software applications. How to make it to use one ?

In Settings - Accounts - "Sign-in Options" it should give you an option to add password.

Once password is added, you should be able to remove "PIN Sign-in" option and after that it should be prompting for only password

It must be under the user accounts section in the control panel where you have to adjust the amount of control u want to give to a user

This should be marked as a SOLUTION !! 😉

@ᏰᏋᎥᏁᎶᎥᏁፈᎧᎶ , mate I was just joking... Actaully there wont be any facility to mark a thread as solution under " anyting other than fiance" under general discussion section.. even the posts under this wont be counted.. take it easy..

but I appreciate your answer !!
settings -> accounts -> sign-in options -> change your pin -> View attachment 75327

  • Go to Settings: Press Windows + I and navigate to Accounts > Sign-in options.
  • Choose Password: Under the "Ways to sign in" section, select Password and click Add.
  • Set Password: Enter and confirm your new password, then click Finish.
