Wrong credit enquiries by ICICI bank. How do I remove them?

Hello,
I can see 2 enquiries in my report by ICICI bank which doesn’t make sense. I tried to apply for a savings account online today & there was some technical issue with the website, hence I called their helpline & somehow it got transferred to their loan department. I told the executive very clearly that I’m not looking for any loan & he transferred my call to accounts department. I was shocked to see this loan enquiry on my report today. Also, there seems to be another enquiry for credit card, which am not aware of.
Please suggest how to remove these enquiries as I don’t want my credit score to decline unnecessarily.

You are allowed to share the full Credit Card report. If it is any 3rd party, then they will not accept it. It will be written in mail.
Just tell them that you do not have a subscription and hence ICICI needs to fetch the CIBIL report on your behalf. There will not be a hard enquiry for this.

I had closed 2 Secured ICICI cards in Nov 2021, but it was still shown as active till 2022. In May 2022, I told them to close. At that time, I had not purchased the CIBIL subscription, so, I used to rely on HDFC & SBI free monthly CIBIL report. After that, ICICI denied. I simply wrote them that I haven't subscribed to CIBIL report, and that ICICI needs to fetch the report on my behalf. 1-2 days later, I got a call, and the agent pulled my report (no hard enquiry) and updated the CIBIL report with card closure within a few days.

If you have not applied for any loan or card, and there was an enquiry, tell them to remove the enquiries or you will escalate to RBI.

I have said everything to them. That guy is so rude to me on the call as well as email. I even tried to close my CC then he was like which card you want to cancel, shall I proceed?....lol. He is continuously demanding for authorised CIBIL Report.
Please guide me how to proceed further.
I just had requested for limit enhancement and they hit me 3 enquiries back to back and didn't even increase the limit. Last LE was 6 months back and I have ICICI Salary Account
 
I reached out to ICICI over call and they initially declined to help. After some pushback, they told me to send an email with the cibil report screenshot and their backend team will help and resolve this. Let's see.
Yeah same happened with me. Personal loan enquiry of ₹1,00,000.
Sent them an email with CIBIL report about 3 days ago, so far no response.

Send them an email that the agent was rude and didnt solve the issue. Escalate to higher authority. That person must have had a fight with his girlfriend or something.
 
My Mother had a Loan for which she received NOC but that was not updated on cibil post approaching the bank they put another enquiry for a loan which was bizarre , So I put an RTI and approached the Ombudesman asking for the reason behind putting up the enquiry, within a month they removed the unwanted inquiry . And reported loan closer to cibil . It was Syndicate bank .

i shared the entire cibil report with them, but blacked out other cibil entries and kept only the relevant ones.
also tag icici and cibil on twitter.
in addition, raise rbi ombudsman complaint.

i did everything of the above and the issue got sorted out in a month, so i don't know exactly what helped - twitter, senior mgmt email or RBI.

Rbi ombudsman only.

I declined to share full reports to them and complained to rbi. After 2 weeks got reply saying it will be suppressed in 10 working days.

I added headcreditcards@icicibank.com in Cc and got a reply to wait till 27th Jan.

Worst part is all these paisabazar and other people, who have access to cibil, now think i need loan and then spam count has increased exponentially.
 
How long did it take? And please share the steps you followed to get it removed!
The steps which worked :
1st Feb - I messaged them on twitter and got an assurance from them that the issue will be resolved 'soon'
Following is the message which I sent :-
"On 21st January 2023, I tried applying for an ICICI MMT credit card but other than the credit card enquiry ICICI Bank has wrongly added a 'Personal Loan' enquiry in my CIBIL profile. Please get this corrected. I've never ever applied for any personal loan in my life."

3rd Feb - I received an email from care@icicibank, they asked for my CIBIL report with control number (in less than 200kb)
On 3rd, 6th, 8th , 13th, 15th they sent me emails telling me that the resolution date had been postponed.
I replied to these mails with an RBI threat on 15th but on same day I got a response from them that it was again postponed to 17th.

Then I sent the following message to them on twitter, got an assurance call from them:-
"The resolution dates has been changed from 6th Feb to 8th Feb to 10th Feb and then changed to 15 Feb. There is no transparency and your team is just postponing the resolution of this complaint. If the resolution this complaint is postponed further then I'll be forced to raise a grievance with PNO and RBI."

On 17th Feb I finally got an email that the enquiry suppression request was sent to all bureaus and it would take 10 days to get it updated.

Before contacting icici on Twitter I called them and emailed them.
And I got following robotic response from them :-

"We write with reference to your query regarding Credit Card CIBIL.
We inform you that, if in case customers enquired details for a credit card through ICICI bank website or third party website through PAN card it will be updated in CIBIL report as enquiry."

The exact same thing happened with me. They were regularly postponing the resolution, which I ignored and eventually got the mail that enquiry suppression request is sent to all bureaus.
