TF Buzz
Hi Everyone,

So I recently opened up the Yes Bank Grandeur Account and the process is effortless. I received an Instant kit while opening the account.

I registered on the portal and punched in my details and the next day I got a call from the backend and they fixed up a meet with RM.
This account can be opened via different ways but I opened by giving a check of 5L to open it. I gave them the Cheque on Monday 10th, June. It hasn't cleared yet but it has been lodged in my account.
A nice touch to the onboarding process is they brought a plant as a gift of Onboarding(see image below).

The INSTANT kit came in a Satin bag with all the contents within.

The contents include:
1) An introduction letter

2) A letter with debit card attached
3) The Yes Grandeur Brochure
4) A 5 Pages Checkbook.

5) A Mastercard World Debit Card

Benefits of the Grandeur Debit Card:
IMG_3749.jpg
1) 500 Yes Rewardsz on activation
2) BOGO at BookMyShow
3) Domestic Airport Lounge Access
4) 5% Cashback on Utility and Groceries
5) Zero Markup on Forex transaction and Mastercard Exchange rates
6) Additional Swiggy and Zomato Benefits ( Unspecified in Brochure)
Additional Benefit:

This account makes you directly eligible for applying the YES bank Marquee credit card with no Income Proof Documents. Only catch is it is not LTF, still have to pay joining and annual membership fees.
IMG_3750.jpg

Eligibility:

  • Average Monthly Balance of ₹5 Lakhs OR
  • Net Relationship Value of ₹20 Lakhs OR
  • Basis Loan Relationship Value

The eligibility criteria can include AMB/NRV maintained by your family, provided they are categorized in the same relationship.

1. Average Monthly Balance (AMB): Average of daily closing balance for the month = Summation of daily closing balance/Actual number of calendar days in the month

2. Net Relationship Value (NRV) will be calculated by aggregating the Average Monthly Balance across Savings and Current Accounts, Fixed Deposits value, Mutual Funds, Insurance premium paid and 25% of Demat holding with YES BANK

My Experience:
Overall I feel that the overall experience is really cheap on what you get in the INSTANT Kit. Other HNI accounts from private banks like Axis, IDFC felt like an experience. I have only got this account only for getting the Marquee card as I was not eligible directly. I have applied for the card and will be updating soon on details.

First is higher variant compared to Grandeur
You will get Eclectic DC with First HNI account which is superior to Grandeur DC
I think Yes bank being Yes bank, is turning that into a myth.

3 reasons Grandeur is better:
- Grandeur has higher reward rate on weekends, but I don't know that 3x/5x reward rate is per 100 or 150 or 200.
- Grandeur has better bookmyshow movie offer (500 once a month), while Eclectic has 300 once a month. Even this 300 would've been good had they kept it in yesbank debit card offer and not clubbed it in that visa infinite offer, which is mostly unusable due to low quota, as many have reported.
- Grandeur has 5% upto 100 cb for utility & grocery each, making good usecase for txns upto 2k pm. Though it is very low limit, still can be used practically by many.

3 reasons Eclectic is better:
- Grandeur has domestic lounge 1+1 per quarter, while Eclectic has 3 per quarter. Now 3 visits are definitely better than 1, still, 1+1 is a unique benefit.
- Zomato 150 on 500. (valid for first 2000 customers - per day or per month? No idea!)
- Looks better.

Both Grandeur & Eclectic have same golf benefits.
And in the latest Eclectic dc revamp mailer dated May 21, they've completely skipped reward points, rest all benefits are mentioned. So not sure if Eclectic will still earn rp or not, since website still says 3x rewards on all domestic txns.

So I'm finding Grandeur slightly better in daily usage, if someone uses a dc at all in the first place. I'd use only for bms and lounge.

Also, I've Eclectic dc and received email day before yesterday that if I don't maintain 10L (yes first plan requirement) by 17th June, lounge benefit will not be provided in next quarter. I think it'd be same rule for Grandeur, but atleast the requirement will be 5L only.

Great comparison
But you missed to include Eclectic’s international lounge access which is not present in Grandeur

Granduer is newly launched so less downgrade
Then good 🙃
Guys
Not able to understand the logic of less chances of downgrade because of newly launched product...
Because it is newly launched product , there is no evidence of downgrade , as there was no sufficient time to trigger this downgrade...
This doesn’t necessarily mean that there will be no downgrades if MAB /QAB os not maintained...

I read quite few times in this forum, that YES Bank seriously follows this requirement of MAB /,QAB concept and promptly downgrades ...
Nite: I don't have any experience ...
So do some research ..
