(When 1 RP = 0.25p)
Online Spends

= 54000 RP + 40000 RP (if joining fee paid) + 20000 RP (if renewal fee paid) = 114000 RP
= 114000 RP * 0.25 = 28,500
= 28,500 - 11,800 (JF paid) -5,900 (RF paid) = 10,800

Net return = 3.6%

All Category Spends

= 54000 RP + (JF waived) + (RF waived) = 54000 RP
= 54000 RP * 0.25 = 13,500
= 13,500 - 4,130 (sub. fee) = 9,370

Net return = 3.12%
On Offline Travel, Dining, Apparel, and Health Care Spends

= 90000 RP + (JF waived) + (RF waived) = 90000 RP
= 90000 RP * 0.25 = 22,500
= 22,500 - 5,900 (sub. fee) = 16,600

Net return = 5.53%

Drsel's advice
1. Ideally Yes Marquee should be used only for online spends and the points earned should be redeemed for flights or hotels or any voucher that available at 0.25p.

2. Ideally Yes Reserve 3x should be used only for online spends and the points earned should be redeemed for flights or hotels.

3. Yes Reserve 5x has the highest return of all Yes Bank cards, provided you have a lot of expenses in hospital bills, doctors fees, diagnostic tests (blood test, x-ray, CT scan, MRI etc.), medicines, travel (including online travel agents), luxury fashion brands.

Ideally Yes Reserve 5x should be used only for online spends in all the above categories, and the points earned should be redeemed for flights/hotels.

4. For all spends, if possible, ask the merchant to send a payment link by SMS, email or WhatsApp, so that you can pay online instead of offline to get the extra 2.25% (Marquee) or extra 1.5%.(Reserv 3x and 5x)

A Gentle Warning: YES Bank is unstable with their product features at this time, frequent changes happening and that too without informing user, so spend carefully.

5. Adjusted categories in subscription and limits
6. Rental and Wallet spends will not accrue any Reward Points
6. Capping of Reward Points earned on Utility Spends - Rewards to be earned upto spends of INR 15,000 per statement cycle
6. Forex Markup Fee of 1.18% on Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC)* Spends
7. utility limit changed twice or thrice
8. Increased spends required for lounge access (twice or thrice)
9. 1.18% surcharge on utility

11. Modified select categories 4th time.
12. Reduction in fuel surcharge waiver and 1.18% or 199 in rental.

14. Jul'24 -- Marquee joining points reduced by 33% from 60000 (Rs.15000) to 40000 (Rs.10000), but joining fee same Rs.11800

That's insane. I didn't know AU Lit RP rate could go that high, wasn't aware at all about this. Thanks for sharing! 👍 I already have AU Zenith, is it possible to get AU Lit as a second card? Don't want to close Zenith as it's LTF for me. @drsel
AU bank allows only one card per person
take it on your wife's name

Yes Reserve 3x (6% online) would beat Marquee (4.5% online ) only if you cannot get flights at a discount.
And you need to spend over 2.75 lacs on Yes Reserve 3x to break even on the charge of 4130. (1.5% difference)

personally I get 24% return on flights so I would discount flights by 24%.

But for conversion to Zomato and Swiggy vouchers, Marquee is much better
How 24% for domestic flights?

Can you share which all GVs (if you can share any screenshots or something) for Marquee can be gotten at 0.25 INR points rate? Is it just these 4 which were mentioned in the original post - Swiggy/Zomato/Chroma/Yatra - or any others too? Would be really great if it's possible to share screenshots or maybe copy paste for all the GVs that can be gotten with 0.25 Rs rp rate for Yes Marquee. TIA! @drsel

24% return using Magnus Burgundy on Traveledge up to 2 lakhs per month limit.
First delete all cookies and temp files, then
Open Traveledge in Google incognito or Mozilla Firefox safe mode.
For international flights, buy one ticket at a time to get a price similar to that on the airline website. For domestic flights it doesn't matter.

@SSV has made a great post with photos of all the gift vouchers available on Yes portal along with the points required for each.
Just search for Marquee and SSV

As in if you book international flights for say 2 passengers in same ticket, then price will be higher than 2 tickets of 1 passenger each? @drsel Have you seen this actually in practice, or is it speculation?

done, check once and update if needed.
Yes Reserve 5x has the highest 9% return of all Yes Bank cards, provided you have a lot of online expenses in hospital bills, doctors fees, diagnostic tests (blood test, x-ray, CT scan, MRI etc), chemist bills, flights, hotels, online travel agents, luxury fashion brands.

Ideally Yes Reserve 5x should be used only for online spends in all the above categories for 9% return (only if the points are used to buy air tickets on Yes Bank portal)

For hospital bills, diagnostic tests and all the above categories, ask them to send a payment link by SMS email or WhatsApp, so that you can pay online (9% return) instead of offline.(7.5% return)

Just now a moderater has locked the 1st post and prevented it from being edited anymore, because it is such a useful permanent analysis of these 3 cards.

Only problem will be when Yes Bank downgrades one or more of these 3 cards.
then it will have to be edited again

In post number 1 my detailed calculations on the return % rate for various redemption options of Yes Marquee vs Yes Reserv 3x vs Yes Reserv 5x were deleted by @helloworld

simplied those calculations, because voucher or redemption point of view, reserv 3x and marquee may only have 6 lines but reserv 5x will be more than 10 lines and confuse user.

so, in place ..

- mentioned reward options
- low and high reward rate based on that.

your information present but in different way and your notes below table has the analysis.

Reopened as wiki, if possible check and adjust .

Great! so now that it's a Wiki post if possible kindly reinsert my calculations.

Yes Reserv 3x is giving the highest return 2.25% on government payments like income tax, property tax etc
Are there other any other cards giving good return on government payments?
Kotak White gives 27000 Amazon pay for 12 lacs Govt payment

They changed the list silently.

Has anyone got confirmation on this from customer care? Or tried transaction to see if it is getting 24/200 points?

Need to do a voucher purchase on PARKPLUS, which comes under 4784 tolls. It was in exclusions in previous list, but not in new list.

I called customer care, but that person didn't know anything.

All Yes cards which offer free international lounge access do NOT have any spend requirement.
Use Yes card DIRECTLY in the swipe machine in a foreign country lounge.
no Priority pass, no Dreamfolks card

Only domestic Lounge access has a 35000 spend requirement in the previous quarter.

I guess even Magnus has also the same. Spend based access only for domestic lounge access.

But you need to use PP in case of Magnus.
