Your opinion about the new ads on TF Community

Hello TFCians,

We wanted to address an important matter regarding ads on TFC. We previously made a promise not to display any ads on our platform. However, as our community continues to grow, we have realized that we need to generate revenue to support its development and enhancement.

In order to improve our community, including features like the search section, new technology, and other enhancements, we have made the decision to introduce two Google ads. These ads will be displayed in a non-intrusive manner, with one on the side banner of the homepage and the other on the thread view page. We want to assure you that we have not added any in-page or pop-up ads, as we understand how annoying they can be.

We value your feedback and opinion on this matter. Please feel free to share your thoughts with us.

I understand that the usual maintenance for running a successful website does incur huge costs. As long as the ads are not intrusive and don't spoil the user experience it should be acceptable for the community.



One more suggestion is to provide a link for donations, this website is a goto source for many of us for seeking solutions on the CC and banking issues. Most of us won't mind sending a little for the services we use, completely unsolicited.

All I see are 2 ekaro and 1 bit.ly banners. Is this change for the app or website?

No issues with ads here. I notice its presence on the site but personally it doesn't interfere with anything important related to using the site itself.

Some ads are very big covering 50% of the screen area.

One more suggestion is to provide a link for donations, this website is a goto source for many of us for seeking solutions on the CC and banking issues. Most of us won't mind sending a little for the services we use, completely unsolicited.

They can just setup a UPI id dedicated to this cause and just have it permanently present on the footer under share this page. Easy, simple and doesn't take much time. A QR code can also be put there to make it even more straightforward.

The Earnkaro ads are temporary, we'll show only LTF & interesting cards ads if available 🙂

Haven't seen any intrusive annoying ads as of now and the experience on the site is good. Given this platform adds so much value to all of us users, at no cost to us, it is completely justified to earn revenue from it for those who put in so much of their own resources, both in term of time and effort.

I mostly use the web version so these banners are not that distracting. All good as long as there is no tracking or spamming mailboxes!

Nothing, even we are going to stop sending email notifications for watched threads. user will only get email when they receive DM (this can be turned off too).
