Zepto, dmart.in - Not eligible for 5% cashback on the Swiggy HDFC CC

I frequently tend to order groceries online. In October, I ordered some items from both dmart.in (Their website) and from Zepto.

Apparently, they both have an MCC code of 5411 which is not eligible or included in the 5% cashback category on the Swiggy HDFC credit card. Instead, I received a 1% cashback.
Posting this so that others who search for this information can then take an informed decision accordingly

dmart is supermarket which is not covered in swiggy card for 5%. Not sure about zepto.

Simple logic. All these are competitors for swiggy instamart as they all are groceries stores. So, why would they give 5% cb? As per them you only need to purchase groceries from swiggy and that gives 10% cashback. Remaining all grocery stores get only 1% cb

5311 (Departmental Store) is covered but not 5411 (Grocery), but again only online for the Swiggy HDFC card. Dmart offline at POS machine sometimes gives 5411 (Grocery), sometimes gives 5311 (Departmental Store) at some Dmarts. Dmart Ready (online) I've gotten 5311 so try Swiggy HDFC card on Dmart Ready, it may give 5%.

I've tried the Swiggy HDFC card and did not receive any cashback on Dmart (online only). I do not have a dmart store close by that I visit

Then it's a fraud card as select merchants + select MCCs only it gives. Better to use SBI Cashback

Did you try dmart ready from app or website?

If u want 5% on dmart... Use rbl shoprite... In pos mode.... It gives 5% upto 1000 points per month... And its ltf too.. For reliance smart/blinkit u can use hdfc pixel.......and if u don't want any hassle.. U can use kotak 811 super debit card currently..... Its gives 5% on online or offline grocery.... But don't know till when kotak will give on grocery as they are slowly blocking categories.....

Hsbs card is only available in tier 1 cities... But they don't give card easily without saving account.... And only salaried people eligible....

So its a abnormal card..... The options i told can easily be taken

Agreed with tier 1 cities, but savings account is not mandatory. I didn't have any relationship with the bank before applying for the card.

ShopRite gives only 3%. RBL markets it as 5%. With the actual reward point to ₹ redemption value + 99 + GST, it comes to 3%. Far from 5%

HSBC Salaried+ card is not for self-employed businessmen, propietors, self-employed professionals

All cards have a positive list only and reward specific MCCs only. Only SBI Cashback, the king is the reverse. But in case of HDFC Swiggy, they seem to be not only filtering by MCC (rewarding only specific MCCs) but also specific merchants only using those eligible MCCs.
