Previously I used to pay in around ₹200-₹400 for gold membership for 3months but at that time no Platform fee, now my current membership i.e 3 months i got it for ₹30. Today i extended it further 6 months just for another ₹30. So it kinda balances! b/w reduced membership cost vs rubbed on our faces platform fee?!

For every order, there's ₹10 as platform fees.

Physiological advertisement/ promotion: They know when they will leave pushing these 20/30 membership showing ₹XXX, people wouldn't buy from their platform, the way now it's being ordered due to these offers.

And even FOMO is there.

And when subscription will be there someone's account, impulsive purchase can be triggered.

20 - 30 is so small amount that even if someone doesn't use zomato/swiggy, they do this.
That's a silent income for them. Good. This will definitely reduce some of their losses.
