RuPay Select Debit Card Portfolio

went to branch and opened CANARA savings account offline, they issued me a Ruapy platinum DC stating they did not get option to apply for Rupay select debit card and applied for the only available Rupay NCMC Debit Card.

Can someone guide through the Canara offline account opening process for getting Rupay Select DC ?

Right after you get account details, ask them the activation code (say some reason like I need virtual debit card to use UPI, if you say I want to apply RSDC they will argue and eat your brain that your account is not eligible bla bla.) after you get activation code login to mobile app and apply RUPAY SELEFT INTERNATIONAL from the app.

They already applied rupay platinum and its reflecting in my Canara App, account was opened on Friday.
Should i block the existing card and then apply for a new card or should i close the account and open a new account and follow the process you mentioned.

You can keep multiple cards, just try to get your mobile banking app operational and then you can easily apply from app

Wont they charge me if i apply for 2nd Debit card from App ?

My app is operational , but in Manage debit card section i could see only Ruapy Platinum Debit Card visible , card is not activated though as i have not set PIN yet , I not able to find the option to apply for a new debit card.

You should have asked them activation code immediately after opening account. I opened Aspire account, as soon as I got the account details went to branch got the activation code applied for RSDC via app before the Rupay Platinum got generated automatically , now applied twice. Till now didn’t get the platinum debit card. This is a bug in their system.

Based on my current situation , can you suggest the next step....
Account close kar ke new account open karu and ask them not to apply for DC as I have to apply for it via app ?
Ya fir existing account ke Rupay Platinum ko block kar ke, RSDC ke liye request dalu ( No Idea if they will charge for it or not )

I think there are charges for closing account before 1 year!

Also, during account opening even for 2K mab acxount, They get this drop down menu in which they have to choose rupay select DC…..the personnel missed this as he might be in a too hurry to bypass/ignore customer request.
You can complain online/offline so that it is formally known record.

Found the option, just wanted to know if I will be charged joining fees for this 2nd Debit card application
