Diners millennia to hdfc Marriott bonvoy upgrade FYF?

I just received this card upgrade offer, where my diners millennia would be upgraded to Marriott bonvoy as fyf. As i won't be paying joining fees so would i get the first night free points in Marriott?
Is it a good upgrade?

They give free nights only after few is realised. I have LTF Marriott bonvoy and told me this thing

Didn't get you, so you mean to say they won't credit Marriott bonvoy points?

Any card if you receive FYF ya LTF you will not get welcome benefits. Most of cards fees equals the welcome benefits so you aren't paying any, then obviously you won't get any.. It's as simple as that..

Due to some glitch or something very few have got welcome benefits and it's very rare scenario.

So you won't get it.

After fee is realised, then points then points are credited

Not a good upgrade IMO. You can easily get Marriott Bonvoy card. Upgrading a core card to a co branded card is not something you should do IMO.

Yup. If you really want the card then apply it separately. Don't convert core into Co branded one.

Yeah I agree, these hdfc guys are so clever. Giving me every upgrade except what I need. I needed diners millenia to regalia gold ltf. Last month I used to get offer to upgrade to dcp fyf. Is this random or any savings account criteria?

Millenia is core cc. Marriott is co-branded.

Dont upgrade / change. You can get extra marriott cc. Keep the millenia core cc.

I don't have much use tata neu plus card, so i want to upgrade it to Marriott bonvoy ltf............ But I'm not getting either upgrade offer not LE offer............. Hdfc marriott bonvoy ltf is worst. Try to get it as a paid card. Then only you will get all the perks this card has to offer.
