so now how to avoid this....is there any way..although i mentioned specially to executive to issue rupay select international and he also wrote on the application and even reminded him with the name 2-3 times.

Yes, the branch employee himself wrote on the top of the form. Today I went to branch and they have agreed to cancel the card and reissue Rupay Select Debit Card.
They have aslo warned me that if i don't maintain the required balance there will be standard penal charges (didn't mentioned exactly how much). Also charges for benefits that i have taken will be automatically be deducted from my account. I hope they don't do that manually.

If your account is salary gold written in the passbook, then there is no RSDC issuing charges, Also you can ask the bank executives for refund of the platinum DC charges accrued to your account. Just maintain the balance according to your Ac variant until they process your debit card imo
