No cost EMI on SBI credit card

Hi. I know that on HDFC, ICICI and some other credit cards you can cancel the no cost EMI and save on interest payments without paying foreclosure charges.
SBI charges 3% foreclosure charges if you close the EMI later.
However, I read in another thread here that you can cancel the EMI by paying the full amount and so will not be charged the foreclosure charges. Could somebody guide me how to do so?

Hello All,
I have opted for offline emi on sbi card and they have debited all amount and wrote No cost emi will be credited as cashback. If I pay all the money will I still get cashback and the emi gets cancelled?

Where as I know on the online transaction they give instant discount for the emi value.

Attaching the bill for reference.

It would be helpful if someone can help figure this out ASAP to avoid the emi conversion.

Thnx

I think if you pay the full amount, your emi will not be converted and you may not receive the cashback without emi

Dear SBI Cardholder, we regret to inform you that your MERCHANT EMI conversion request opted at the time of purchase at amazonin for trx done on 01-MAR-25 has not been converted for the following reason: Insufficient Retail Outstanding Balance. For more information, kindly call our helpline at 18601801290 or 39020202 (prefix local STD code).
Hey please reply, when you paid whole amount what is the unbilled amount of your card? I made emi transaction yesterday and made outstanding zero but Rs.0.17 showing as unbilled is there any problem for me?

Yes it works.
I think It should be 0 or -ve for non conversion of emi
It works if outstanding balance is less than actual emi amount. But best to keep it close to zero.
