What purse/wallet do you use to carry your cards?

Hey everyone! I just stumbled upon this cool term called EDC wallet - Everyday carry wallet.
It got me curious, so I thought I'd start this thread!
How do you carry your cards? Do you use a wallet, purse, bag, or just toss them in your pocket?

I’ve picked up a couple of things for my cards - one main cardholder that fits all my essentials like my ATM card, credit cards, and even my Aadhar PVC and PAN.
I also got this compact little EDC wallet that I'm planning to use for just 2-3 cards and some cash. It’s way more convenient than my old bulky purse!

I'm sharing the photos here, and I’d love for you all to share pics of your purses too!
If you know any interesting or luxury brands, drop the names here as well.

Like Spiderman said, 'with great power comes great responsibility', so with too many cards comes the great responsibility of keeping them. 😄

I use Apple MagSafe wallet on a regular basis and whenever I travel, I keep my main wallet-bifold (OUTBACK - purchased around four years ago, price 2500 rupees something, a decent Indian leather-making company, carrying six cards) in my backpack.

Cards I carry in the Apple wallet - BIZ BLACK, TIMES BLACK, and IDFC FIRST MAYURA.

Cards I carry in the bifold wallet - DCBM, KOTAK WHITE, DEBIT CARD (IDFC FIRST WEALTH), AADHAAR CARD & DL, AXIS AMEX PRIVILEGE.

Rest of the other bank cards (around 20-30) may be in a card holder.

This is mine. Been carrying something this big for a decade now since I like the weight and helps me instantly know if I forgot or someone is trying to pick pocket.
This one I've had for more than a year and works perfectly fine.

Has DL, aadhar , pan , 4 DCs and around 8 cc. I never sit down with it since it's not good for health to sit with your purse in the back pocket.

The multiple cc and dc are more habitual/ritualistic than being practical. It's something I've done for a decade and doing anything different feels icky and weird and unnerving.

Yeah, I hear you. Leaving home without my cards seems like I have missed something, even though when those are not essential.

Keeping those cards close feels cozy and reassuring. Like you said, it’s more like a habit rather than necessity. I know it’s weird (can't find any other word), but hey, we’ll have something weird in our life.

Realistically, even three cards are more for outings, since our most spends are totally online, and thanks to UPI on Rupay, those few offline spends are too kind of online.

😄

Bellroy Slim Sleeve easily for me one of the best slim wallets.

2 Cards are sufficient for me as everything else is on digilocker.
You purchased this in India or USA/Australia? I am afraid of ordering Bellroy wallets because of customs issues. Although Bellroy products are available on Modernquest but those are way overpriced compared to their real price.

I carry a tan leather cardholder with 2 credit cards (Infinia and Octane) and some cash (up to Rs 2,000 in Rs 500, 100, 200 etc denominations), just in case.

I have christened it "clipper" as it has got a centre clip to hold some petty cash. So, I carry the clipper whenever I go out. It comfortably meets all my outdoor (shopping, travelling, dining, movies, etc) requirements. In case more cash is required (at some small shop where there is no POS machine), I use cash or UPI through PhonePe wallet (which is inside the PhonePe app and can be pre-loaded with some money from my linked bank account, thus ensuring that the bank passbook remains clutter free and daily small shopping spends are from PhonePe wallet, which is easier to refer and track).

Other cards - credit card (Amex Plat Travel), debit cards (HDFC and PNB), Adhaar, DL, RC, PAN etc are all kept safely in my wallet at home. I take the debit card(s) only when I have to withdraw some cash - say once in 2-3 months. I carry the e-version of Adhaar, DL, RC, PAN, etc in my mobile, if required.

This is how I carry/use my credit cards. 🙂

Got it on modern quests. They were having some 30% off when I got it so it ended up being cheaper than intl prices. I have purchased other stuff as well from Modern Quests. Don't want to deal with custom issues.
The bigger issue is Modern Quests might not have the exact color variant you want.
