Millennia HDFC Millennia RuPay Credit card Launch | 6% to 12% on Amazon, 5%% Flipkart, Myntra, Sony LIV, Swiggy, Tata CLiQ, Uber, Zomato, BookMyShow, Cult.fit:

Ordered a product worth Rs 247 on Flipkart using UPI payment method.
I immediately cancelled it and got refund of Rs 240.( no refund of 7 rupees platform fee ).

But in refund amount merchant name is different( UPI-Pine Labs Pvt Ltd), no mention of FLIPKART.

My question is , they will deduct same 5% or 1% or 0% cashbback on refunded amount as FLIPKART merchant name is not mentioned in Refund amount?

Flipkart not refund plateform fee you can check same in Flipkart order page.

On of my transaction of amount 7793 was done on 30/09/2015 on FLIPKART. And for this transaction they did not credited 5% cashbback in October Month.
Upon asking they said this transaction was settled on 1 st of October. That's why they not credited cashpoint.

In October month I did more than 20k spends on preferred merchant. So technically they should credit 1k+ 390(5%of 7793) cashpoint in 5% category in November Month . But this month I got only 1k cashpoint on 5% category.

My question is why they not credited 390 cashpoint for September month's Soend?

As the transaction was settled on October 1, it will be included on October month spends for cashback calculation. Since 1k is cap for millennia 5% cb, whatever amount you spend you will only get 1k cashback.

Your spend reached the 5% category 1000 cashpoint limit per month. So avoid transactions from 29th or 30th till end of month

For keeping it short and Simple I said transaction was done on 30th of September.

Here is full history:

I purchased a phoone on EMI on 24th of September on FLIPKART , within one 1 hour cancelled the order.

Here is no problem Rs7793 debited and Rs7793 credited making no loss of CASHPOINT.

But on 29th of September transaction of amount RS7793 automatically converted into EMI.

Rs7793 transaction converted into EMI ,Hdfc deducted 5% cashpoint= 390 Cashpoint.

On 30th of September EMI automatically cancelled.
So technically they should credit 390 cashpoint, making it 0 loss of cashpoint.

Upon asking why they not credited 390 cashpoint they responded stating transaction was settled on 1st of October that's why they not credited cashpoint.
Result in the loss of 390 cashpoint from my 5% category.

Hdfc credited only 610 (1k-390) cashpoint in 5% category in October month for September month's Spends 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔.

Cashpoints are credited based on settled transactions from 1st to 31st...since, ur transaction settled on 1st Oct they are considering it as a transaction for the month of October. Now ur transaction on preferred merchant already exceeds 20K and also 7793 will be added this and hence u are only getting the maximum 1K cashpoints for them.

If this is the reason then there is a catch. 😁💀

This is nothing new — I’ve been saying for the past 2 years that you shouldn’t make transactions with the Millennia credit card on the last day of the month (30th or 31st). I mean, do the transaction before that.

And you’ll get the 5% cashpoints based on the settlement date of the transaction. It’s a simple rule of the Millennia credit card.

As per their policy the transaction settled date is the one they consider for calculating cashback. Since they are saying that transaction settled on October 1, so cashback credit will also be calculated on October spends.

Bro, you’re saying the EMI was canceled on 30th September and in your statement, it shows Rs. 7393 was deducted on 30th September, right?

Now, HDFC Bank is saying that the amount was settled on 1st October — so that’s correct, right?

That means it will be counted in October’s 5% cashpoints and you yourself said that you already received 5% upto 1k cashpoints for October.

So what’s the issue now? The maximum cap for 5% cashback is 1k cashpoints.

You can’t get 1k + 390 (which is 5% of 7793).
