Most Recommended Salary Bank account

Hey everyone,
I’m exploring options for the best salary account given my current profile.
  • Monthly take-home: >₹3L
  • Currently have: ICICI Wealth (Lifetime) and Axis Burgundy (based on salary credit criteria)
  • Aware of: HDFC Preferred, HSBC Premier, and other premium salary account tiers
I already hold HDFC Infinia and ICICI Emeralde Private Metal, so maintaining HDFC or ICICI as salary accounts purely for credit card linkage doesn’t add much value anymore.

I’m primarily considering HSBC Premier, mainly for the Premier Credit Card and the overall banking experience.

I would love to hear your experiences and recommendations — which salary account do you feel offers the best overall benefits for this income bracket?
Thanks!

Go ahead with HSBC premier..
Its good.

HDFC, ICICI -> you already have the prem cards and as you said, it doesn't make any sense to have a savings account with them if the sole purpose is to get prem cards.

axis -> margundy is hard to manage and TnCs flipping like Trump's satements

So by deduction HSBC is the bank you need.

Also consider into account other features like forex, lockers. For forex I would suggest IoB savings account though.

Thank you for the response.
I’m expecting a monthly inflow of around €5,000 into the account. Would it make more sense to open an IOB account for this, or try to negotiate better rates with HSBC?
I’m also considering whether I could get the RuPay Select debit card if I go with IOB.

AFAIK nothing beats IoB. But anyways try to negotiate HSBC too and see how far they will budge.

Why dont you look at hsbc premier?

I am trying to open HSBC premier salary account and RM is providing Non EBS account as my organization has no tie up with HSBC. With Non EBS, I wont be getting 5% cashback with debit card. Is it true that without corporate tie up I wont be getting EBS benefits?

gentle suggestion: premium cards mostly for rewards and mainly useful to redeem airmiles/hotels, with not much of spends it will be hard to accumulate points to redeem which unnecessarily waste those reward points. Stick to the cashback until you found usecase.

Do we know if this is anywhere in the terms and condition?
the 5% cashback upto a certain % of take home income is under Employee benefits EBS scheme, not tie EBS Scheme not applicable,
Premier account with Premier CC works fine, only debit card wont fetch you any 5% back
