i have HSBC corporate salary account with debit card which gives 5% cashback. can you help with best possible use to get the cashback?
Like may be credit card bills or any other way to just rotate the money to get the cashback?

Hi, can you pls confirm which app is now giving cashback with hsbc DC, I checked regd GS, apparently MCC is now 7322, which is not eligible

yes, i am also confused where this cards get cashback, lot of long and multiple thread but i want only where it is applicable. My major expenses are

a. Rent
b. Credit card bills
c. Online giftcards
d. i can get 10-20K cashback per month using hsbc dc, any way to just go circular transaction for this cashback.

Don't do that. High chances your account will be suspended.

For rent you don't get any cashback
For credit card there are some hacks like savesage as they report have some different MCC
For gift card purchase you should get 5% back

The last CB was credited on Oct for the spends done on August. I can confirm that spends on EbixCash got CB. But many people are saying MCC 4900 is no longer eligible. We will know after 2 months.

HDFC - Just waiting for RG/DCB, after that I will move out.
Axis - I will get burgundy, but I don't need M4B, satisfied with Atlas, and I don't want to start any other relation with Axis as of now.
Next best seems to be HSBC, even though they are slow in responding, crediting points and benefits, not transparent, etc., still seems to be better among the lot.

I quite recently opened HSBC salary account. I asked him twice whether we get 5% cb on utility. He said yes as long transaction amount is greater than 1000rs.
Even if you check their T&C Utility is not mentioned in exclusions there

Don’t believe in anything said by the HSBC RM or customer care. On multiple occasions in the past, I was informed that certain transactions would not be eligible for cashback, yet I eventually received the cashback for them.

But I have received cashback in Oct for the utility spends done in August.

I recently opened HSBC Salary account
DC yet to arrive

When I asked RM about the CB on utility, he opened Live+ CC exclusion and said all of this is applicable for DC aswell 👻

I asked him to ask his superior and he confirmed that Utility is in exclusion whereas the document on salary account website says otherwise

Will have to wait and watch for MCC 4900
