Today, I’m sharing my experience of getting the PNB Rupay Select Imperial Debit Card — and honestly, this isn’t just another debit card, it’s one of the most rewarding ones currently available in India.

Let me start from the beginning — I had applied for this Debit Card recently (the only reason I opened an account with PNB) The benefits and vouchers that come bundled with the Imperial variant easily exceed ₹16,000 in total value (maybe even more, I haven’t done the exact math yet!).

What makes it even more interesting is that PNB allows up to two add-on cards, meaning you can actually have three Imperial Debit Cards linked to a single account.

Although a few posts on Technofino already discuss PNB’s new debit card lineup, I wanted to make a dedicated thread exclusively for the Imperial Debit Card — so that anyone planning to apply or looking for real-world experiences can find everything here and discuss their queries directly related to this.

Eligibility: You need to open a basic savings account with PNB (Unnati savings scheme). Then you have to transfer 1 lac into the account in order to be eligible. I have enquired from the people already holding the cars that the balance does not need to be maintained, also PNB does not have any non maintenance charges. If you think any debit card

Not true, you can change it. Opened account on 7 Nov. changed scheme from select rupay growth to Savings Fund General today itself.
Applied for SAI card right after it.

naah, you can't see in PNB ONE app but you can see it in WhatsApp Banking ... just use any option like update limit of online transaction and it will ask you to choose which card and that's how you know your card is generated ... apart from this, you can't do anything before card arrives at your doorstep ... wait is the only option left.

How long after applying can you check if the card is generated in Whatsapp banking?

I asked For SB General Account. Any how I have also applied for getting mentioned benefits @ Rs700. If they don't give next quarter then will downgrade the debit card.

Incorrect information: have to wait till 6 month.
You can change the account scheme code anyday, you don't have a wait for a single day.

My branch people are totally useless. I got the same information from them only.

have you received the cards physically, i applied 2 weeks back, confirmed with customer care 10 days ago, 2 addon cards generated but after that no update, no tracking details yet. the primary card was delivered in 6 days from the date of application but this time nothing

Same thing happened to me when there was craze for platinum debit cards due to amazon rupay offer, i applied for pnb rupay platinum debit card, even after 30 days of card generation, it wasn't dispatched, that time it was due to chip shortage.. i complained on cgrams portal, within 10 days they dispatched the card..
for now, i will wait for 4-5 days, then raise a complaint about it

no such rule, it depends on employee..
many of us got this card with basic account just by funding 1L that too on the same day of request

I applied for Unnati but in app it's showing - Saving Fund Genral

What does it show in your Pnb Passbook n in PnbOne app under Saving account> primary account> Account Details which Account Category is mentioned there can you please Share @shazansalim

Savings fund general and unnati is one and the same thing.
Also all account variants are eligible for the card.

Then don't ask for card at 1st Just open pnb Unnati Savings Account with no debit card then deposit 1Lakh in single transaction then go and apply debit card tell them Card code is "SAI" and then apply 2 add on as well

hi guys recvd pnb select excel credit card,

have activated it and have set PIN,
1. but this card doesnt show in debit cards in pnb one app
2. have enabled ecom using pnb IVR , when tried to claim OTT from rupay select debit it is showing something went wrong after filling card detials (even happens before filling OTP)

For my mother's account, I had applied for primary card last week. Still haven't received shipment tracking number yet over SMS.
But I can see in WhatsApp Banking that the card has been generated.

If I go and apply for add-on card today, will the system allow? I'm asking this because today is working Saturday and it's feasible for me to take my mother to the branch and get this done, else it would be a wait of another 2 weeks.

Also, if I can apply today, will the system allow only one add-on card to be applied for or can I apply 2 add-on cards in one go?
