Today, I’m sharing my experience of getting the PNB Rupay Select Imperial Debit Card — and honestly, this isn’t just another debit card, it’s one of the most rewarding ones currently available in India.

Let me start from the beginning — I had applied for this Debit Card recently (the only reason I opened an account with PNB) The benefits and vouchers that come bundled with the Imperial variant easily exceed ₹16,000 in total value (maybe even more, I haven’t done the exact math yet!).

What makes it even more interesting is that PNB allows up to two add-on cards, meaning you can actually have three Imperial Debit Cards linked to a single account.

Although a few posts on Technofino already discuss PNB’s new debit card lineup, I wanted to make a dedicated thread exclusively for the Imperial Debit Card — so that anyone planning to apply or looking for real-world experiences can find everything here and discuss their queries directly related to this.

Eligibility: You need to open a basic savings account with PNB (Unnati savings scheme). Then you have to transfer 1 lac into the account in order to be eligible. I have enquired from the people already holding the cars that the balance does not need to be maintained, also PNB does not have any non maintenance charges. If you think any debit card

For my mother's account, I had applied for primary card last week. Still haven't received shipment tracking number yet over SMS.
But I can see in WhatsApp Banking that the card has been generated.

If I go and apply for add-on card today, will the system allow? I'm asking this because today is working Saturday and it's feasible for me to take my mother to the branch and get this done, else it would be a wait of another 2 weeks.

Also, if I can apply today, will the system allow only one add-on card to be applied for or can I apply 2 add-on cards in one go?

why do you want add on card? Do you get same benefits again? Also fees of add on is same (708 & 1062)?

So u Got 3 cards n now ur mother also has 3 cards then
Do u have 6 rupay accounts that u use? Otherwise in one account 1 card vouchers only once u can use from that bank card

System don’t allow. You have to activate it and make one transaction before applying for another

why do you want add on card? Do you get same benefits again? Also fees of add on is same (708 & 1062)?

yes, add-on card has same benefits and fee is same as of primary card ... i.e. 708 (joining fee) and 1,062 (annual fee)

how to check on whats app.

WhatsApp Banking ... +919264092640 is the number ... go to Debit Card services and choose any option like enabling or disabling online transactions or any such option, it will show which debit card to choose and that's how you know that card is generated.

no, I've 1 RuPay account each for me, my mother and my sister ... that's why 3 add-on cards

So for each rupay account u can use only 1 cards as the benifit will be used 2 can't use more tyms even though u have same card with different numbers
Suppose if u have 2 imperial select cards for each rupay account if u use 1 time prime benifit u can't use it for another card add on in the same name n rupay account check it

Do I have maintain 1L for a month to become eligible for this Debit card?

I didn't keep on checking daily in WhatsApp Banking, so, can't really tell you when it was generated for me but what I can tell you is, I applied on November 1 and on November 10/11, it was showing in WhatsApp Banking.

And for my mother's account, I applied on November 6/7 and it was showing in WhatsApp Banking yesterday, i.e. on November 15.

you will receive all the voucher, that were on shown on the paper, except bms voucher, because it is actually b1g1 offer.

are you sure on this? can anyone else also comment on this?

I went to PNB this Saturday ... first of all, I was told that I can't get this debit card as QAB should be above Rs. 50k but I said that code is SAI and it can be done if I've Rs. 1L or above in the account.

So, first, I was told to get KYC done as part of process of getting KYC done at a specific interval time to time. Staff who does KYC wasn't available due to election duty, so, I gathered all the patience in the world and politely tried to get it done from any other staff present. One of the person helped to get my KYC done and after 1.5 - 2 hours, I was able to get my KYC completed and then I filled out the debit card request form.

The lady at the counter mentioned that yes, I can get this debit card and issuance fee is Rs. 708 and I confirmed to go ahead. At that point only I asked to issue add-on debit cards for my family members if it's possible, so, applied for 2 add-on cards as well. Rs. 2,124 has been debited from statement against debit card issuance charges. Now, waiting for all 3 debit cards to arrive. I hope it goes well.

UPDATE (17-Nov-2025) :

Received all 3 DCs today (1 primary + 2 add-ons) at once.

Can anyone confirm if we get the same benefit with all the addon cards. Or it is once per rupay account irrespective of the number of cards you hold. Has anyone availed yet?
