Hi Friends,

hp pay app load wallet via credit card which card is having zero charges kindly share your experience about the rewards/CB for this transactions.

FYI my holding cards are SC Manhattan, HDFC Regalia, IndusInd Legend and ICICI Apay as well as LTF Coral.

Recently, ICICI has disable fuel transactions on their fastags. DYOR before loading bulk amt in ICICI tags

You need to login to ICICI etoll website using your fastag customer ID and password. It will show up fuel enabled yes or no in one of the tag detail menu options

Is toll transaction necessary? They blocked by fuel enablement, I raise a request astating reason that I ply car onlyu within city and they approved it.

Kyv is pending since 20 days, customer care says all images are correct. What type of crap icici is, used to think they have the best tech out of all Indian banks, but they are worst.

Escalated to nodal now, can we raise this to rbi ombudsman and claim money for all this nonsense

Hi. I recently got a Fastag of ICICI. Once activated I mapped it to my HP Pay app. And it showed balance also.

Then I changed my Min KYC to Full KYC in icici Fastag portal and then I enabled the fuel payments in icici fastag portal (which took time of 2-3 days since the RC approval took long). I did not recharge it. I wanted to try it first.

Once everything was ok, I tried to use this system to pay for fuel via HP Pay app, but it failed. The error was “invalid tag id”. When I checked I saw that once I select “ Map / Update“ Fastag section under icici Fastag I can see three entries. The first is my phone number, the second is my vehicle number and the third is blank (written in grey over there - “Enter Fastag Number”). This area is not editable and I cannot enter anything there. I cannot UNMAP the fastag or Update the fastag. Don’t know how to proceed. Some issue I can think of are - 1) I mapped the fastag before fuel enablement. May be that was wrong. 2) My vehicle number is BH number. May be that’s why it’s not working. The balance is getting reflected correctly but the fuel payment is not working. I have mailed to HP Pay customer care but no reply in last 3-4 days. Can anyone guide please?

Uninstall the app...reinstall ..remove mapping..uninstall... Reinstall

Uninstall and Re install - I have done many times now. I am not able to unmap the fastag. If only I could do that, I think my problem would be solved. But as you see “Enter Fastag Number” is greyed out and not clickable. I think This is what is preventing un mapping the Fastag.

any alternative for sbi fastags? i have done my KYV as well. Fastag is also getting upgrated to full KYC as well.

If you have Infinia/EPM/Phonepe(HDFC Ultimo/SBI Black), then more than 5%.

Once we tag fastag in app the menu differs or I am on iOS I got the attached
When I click map or update I am able to edit all 3 fields

I had pointed out this problem few days back. I got many responses as help. Thanks to all for that. Today I tried connecting to HP pay CC again, but they were not very helpful. They suggested that the Request is being worked upon and I have to wait for there resolution.

After that I tried something else and I was able to solve this problem. I was using this HP Pay app in iPhone. Today I downloaded the same app on an android phone and logged into my account. Then I scanned an HP Pay QR code (random one - obtained from internet). There too I got the same error "Invalid Tag ID". But when I saw the ICICI Fastag Section after this attempt, I saw that my TAG ID was auto populated.

I took this opportunity and deleted (unlinked) my ICICI Fastag ID from my HP Pay app and then re linked again. The Tag ID was auto populated again.

I tried scanning again on the QR code and this time my transaction went through and I recd an OTP from ICICI for completion of transaction.

Now I turned to my iPhone and logged out of the HP Pay pay and uninstalled and Re installed the app. This time when I logged in and saw the ICICI Fastag Section, all three entries viz My mobile number, my Vehicle number and the Tag ID were auto entered there. I tried with iPhone on the QR code and this too worked.


Then I checked at a local HP Pump on two different amounts and both the transactions went through. Finally Successful. Loading ICICI Fastag with A Pay vouchers bought on iShop using EPM card gives a good value. And we also get 1% worth HP Points credited to HP pay account after successful transaction



Thinking now about the problem what I think is that as soon as I saw that my fastag was active I mapped it to HP Pay app. After that, I changed my KYC to Full KYC in the E Toll website of ICICI and enabled the fuel transactions.

I think, I should have waited for complete fuel enablement before mapping to my HP pay app. This is just my hunch and I am not sure about this.
