The RuPay Prepaid sign means it should ideally work on public transport services (buses, metros etc) but the FAQs don't seem to suggest that.
I don't have the slightest clue why anyone would ever get this. I mean even if you plan to gift someone this you would restrict them to Phoenix malls.
Unless the card comes with bonus value it is utterly useless.

Boht bura hai. Branded outlets at malls (e.g. Pantaloons, Max, Lifestyle) usually sell heavily discounted gift cards (10-25% is quite normal) via Gyftr, Woohoo, Amazon, PayTM and other sources.
