'FlipkartInternetPrivate' is using a Merchant Category Code (MCC) of 5942 - Book Stores: No Cashback

Is there anyway we can fight this?
First, send an email to SBI Cards customer care asking about the missing cashback. Explain that the purchase was for an electronic item (not stationery or whatever MCC they used) and attach the invoice. The SBI Cards team will likely deny the cashback, saying the MCC used was XXXX, which falls under a category that isn't eligible for cashback.

Next, share that email communication with Flipkart by email and explain that you suffered a loss because they used an incorrect MCC. Mention that you've contacted SBI Cards for clarification and that SBI indicated the error was on Flipkart’s part. Request compensation for the lost cashback.

Depending on their response, escalate the issue. Don’t hesitate to file a complaint on the NCH portal if necessary.

I recently had a similar issue with Cleartrip. They used the Railway MCC for my bus ticket booking. I paid with an SBI Cashback card expecting 5% CB but received Rs. 0. I followed the same steps and managed to get an amount refunded to my card equivalent to the expected cashback.
