Axis Credit Card Axis Airtel Rupay (Applied 3rd November)

CarbonLogic

TF Premier
Hey everyone, so today on 3rd November I have applied for teh Rupay Axis Airtel CC via CashKaro.
Process was pretty straight forward. It fetched my CKYC first then got a CIBIL enquiry and finally application was submitted at 11am. I applied as Self-Employed. At no point did I have to enter Aadhaar Number though probably because it fetched details via CKYC.

I got 2 SMS at the end
1. Thanks for applying and it provided the Application ID. It also says "SMS confirming application status will be sent shortly".
2. Thanks for applying, executive will connect with you to fulfill KYC requirements.

At the time of writing this its been 45mins since submission. I have NOT received any Email for the application, NO SMS confirming status of applicatoin and also when I try to enter application ID on the CC tracker it says NO details found, enter the correct details.

Hello TFians

I was planning on applying for Axis Airtel Rupay card since my house hold has 5 Prepaid Airtel users so thats 25% cashback upto 250 per month if spaced properly. We usually do the 3 months fixed Data recharge.
Also the 10% (effectively 8.25% with fee) on utilities will be useful.

The 10% on occasional Bigbasket, zomato and swiggy is also good.
1% on other spends which I translate to UPI via CC is good as well.

Currently I have
1. Supercard (USFB-Supermoney) which is my first card I still use for Myntra 5% CB and UPI via CC for 1%CB for txns >Rs100
2. AmazonPay CC, got this very luckily in August, thanks to the SuperCard which I was using judiciously for 6 months prior. I applied for the card as Self Employed and no documents were asked after vKYC.

My query here would be, is it a good time to apply for Airtel Axis considering I had applied for AmazonPay ICICI in August? Or should I wait for some more time?
After applying would they perform vKYC and if they do would they then ask for documents via Email? Or would they do Physical KYC and check documents at that time?

I have a more detailed post here: https://technofino.in/community/threads/maximizing-supercard-apayicici-and-dcs.44235/
Not many visit that section of the forum hence asking here individually for the airtel axis cc

Thank you folks!

I have been checking my CIBIL score almost everyday since 16th october since I have CIBIL subscription and suprisingly neither Utkarshbank nor ICICI have reported my payment status to CIBIL which they usually do on 15th/30th. So I am guessing I will have to wait till end of this month for the update and then apply for Axis Airtel next month.
Current score is 764

hey, So you only had a 6 month old secured cc on your cibil when you applied for amazon pay?
I have heard that they reject anything less than a year old (oldest account on cibil)

As I mentioned, I probably got very lucky. I applied on Independence day, maybe they approved all applications on that day :hehe:

Is it safe and/ better to apply for the Airtel Axis CC via CashKaro?

Whats the recommended way to apply for it? Via Airtel app which I presume will redirect to Axis website with some referral or directly through Axis website assuming all that matters is just my credit profile and theres no special consideration if applying via other channels?

If you are looking for some monetary benefits, then definitely consider applying via cashkaro. I guess they are giving 2k as part of Diwali sale.

DM incase you need referral for cashkaro

Update:

Got SMS just now that they are unable to process the application as it does not meet the Bank's fulfilment criteria.

I applied as self employed, but had only 1 year ITR, they had initially called and told me that they require 2 years ITR without which they cannot even proceed with the KYC. I asked them where on their website does it mention that you require 2 years ITR. if such was the case, then I would not have applied because you have already made a CIBIL Enquiry on my profile. To this they mentioned they will get back to me

But unfortunately after 7 days, this is the SMS I received. What shall I do now? Email them asking for specific fulfilment criteria that I did not pass? And ask them to reconsider the application?

If someone want to apply Airtel Axis Rupay card. I can send a referral and then cashkaro team can followup application to closer, once approved you will get cashkaro refferal amount too… DM me if interested.

Update:

Received final email from Axis Bank that my application was rejected due to "Absence of Income proof" which is completely false.

I have now raised a complaint with RBIO, there isnt a specific category for this particular type of complaint but selected it under CC>Card issue>KYC related issues.

I have mentioned "that it does not specify anywhere on their website that a minimum of 2 years ITR is required when I have only 1 year ITR and also that I offered to provide bank statements but they refused to accept it (most other banks specify minimum salary criteria/ ITR threshold). Had they mentioned that minimum 2 yrs ITR is mandatory then I would not have applied for the CC. This has placed an enquiry on my credit profile and dropped my CIBIL score (about 9 points) so I request them to either reconsider my application or remove the credit enquiry."

Did not ask for any compensation, what do you guys think, will Axis parrot the same words as before or will they heed either of my request? I have a gut feeling they will simply parrot their previous statement.

I could ignore it since 9 point drop is not that significant and it will recover in the next 6 months or so but their reason for rejection is borderline fraudulent tbh. Blaming the applicant when the bank itself is at fault for not being crystal clear with the information they are displaying.

Axis cards nowadays much headache so better raise an RBI and keep quiet if get any compensation it’s ur luck
Axis is not sustainable with their rewards structure
Quarterly vouchers in liberty is their recent devaluation
