Recently I have upgraded from Airtel Axis credit card from master card to rupay varient. Here my story falls.
Axis Bank Mis-sold Amazon Voucher – My Story
Timeline:
19 Apr 2025 – Received welcome benefits on Axis Airtel Mastercard.
2 Aug 2025 – Upgraded my card to RuPay variant. Phone Banking advisor promised ₹500 Amazon voucher. I agreed based on this assurance.
After Upgrade – Voucher never arrived.
Escalation Attempts:
Contacted Customer Care multiple times. Responses were vague or blamed prior benefits / RuPay conversion.
Escalated to Nodal Officer and MD Desk.
Despite providing call proof and payment history, MD Desk rejected my claim and suggested I go to RBI Ombudsman.
Key Issues:
1. Mis-selling by Axis Bank advisor.
2. MD Desk refused accountability; repeated copy-paste responses.
3. Insinuations questioning who pays my bills — despite perfect payment history.
Next Steps:
What to do next.?? I am planning to complaint RBI ombusman. How to proceed anybody please guide..
Warning: If Axis Bank promises benefits verbally, insist on written confirmation. Even with evidence, their internal escalation may refuse responsibility.
It's not about 500 rs voucher while selling the card their executive misguided about voucher benifit. I am very firm in this want teach them some lession to them..
But I never seen this kind of Hopeless Bank in my life. Even MD chamber not accepting their mistakes.
