Just asking, I saw that they wrote this in one of their pages. I just want to make sure we have options.I think you should be able to... But why?
I also recieved mail.. but there's no option to apply in the app or site. Maybe because i have business account?.I just received this email that Wise is coming to India. In my opinion, this is a better alternative than using Bank's Forex cards.
The link is personalized, can't share.... Sorry about that.

Wow, that's not good. I have a Pvt Ltd so for me things have been smooth. But thanks for sharing, I will keep this knowledge...You can
But the support was really bad for me when I applied as a sole proprietor back in May.
If your bank account has your own name, they won't accept it cause your "Trade name" is different
Even though you're not legally required to open a separate trade name bank account as a sole proprietor.
I kid you not, it took me 23 emails for them to ultimately say they can't do it.
But Private limited should be fine, tho.
So, weigh in your options before going all in.
Weird. Idk why it's not showing for me then. Been using it for 2+ years. Got mail to apply but it redirected me to nothing. No, I also have business account. Works for me.
For sole proprietorship your bank account should be on the trade name (whatever name is on GST). They mentioned it when i applied. I was receiving as freelancer initially then moved to sole proprietorship later after mailing them. It was pretty quick. You can

Except the fact that trade name is an optional input for GST. I could literally change it whenever. For sole proprietorship your bank account should be on the trade name (whatever name is on GST). Sorry to hear that. We can't do much if they make the rule. 😅. I use wise because it's convenient for the client and me.Except the fact that trade name is an optional input for GST. I could literally change it whenever.
The Comnpany name is my own name and that's the same for bank accounts. So I really don't get why these guys would do this.
And just for reference, I did get all of this sorted with other payment methods like Razorpay and Infinity. Only Wise had the issue.
For me, clients only use bank transfers to pa,y and the moment I did all of this on Wise, I figured that the client has to manually enter these details when you click the payment link unless they have a wise account or use a credit card.Sorry to hear that. My clients prefer bank transfers, so I have been using the same setup for over two years. I want to switch, but I dont want to change my bank details and go through the hassle of informing them. For me, clients only use bank transfers to pa,y and the moment I did all of this on Wise, I figured that the client has to manually enter these details when you click the payment link unless they have a wise account or use a credit card.
So all that effort for nothing lol.
Luckily Revolut is coming here soon and they prefill all these details for a payment link.
Back in 2019, the company sending the money needed to have wise account to send money to their contractors, is that still the case? What are the charges like?Yes, I have been using it for a couple of years now.
It depends on country to country. Like for Europe, I can open a bank account so the client can just do a bank transfer and Wise will take care of the rest. But, say for Japan, the client should have a Wise account.Back in 2019, the company sending the money needed to have wise account to send money to their contractors, is that still the case?
