Need help with Yes Bank Kredit.Pe Ace Credit Card

A friend recently got the Yes Bank Ace Kredit Pe card as his first Credit Card but he has been facing a weird problem that Yes Bank is not being helpful with. He is unable to setup his RuPay Credit Card on any UPI app, including Kredit Pe. He is getting the below errors.

When he sent an email and called them up this is what they are saying:

We wish to inform you that your UPI Pin would be same as MPIN and hence would not require to set UPI Pin.

Further, MPIN is a 6-digit number which can be selected while registering for Mobile Banking for the first time MPIN is required for authenticating financial transactions.

We request you to use Forgot MPIN option on the login screen. You will get OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and reset MPIN. Then you can Login immediately and then try to perform any transaction through mobile banking application.

This obviously makes no sense and is in no way related to RuPay on UPI. Please help.

You can't set different pin code for credit cards you should use iris Mpin

You can't set different pin code for credit cards you should use iris Mpin

I don’t understand. When he tries to register this Card on Kredit Pe it tells him to make a upi pin. How does he use the iris pin?

I tried entering his mpin as the new upi pin and also tried entering the mpin as the otp but none of those worked. Still get the same error
