However, after going through the offer details and considering the previous experience of interacting IDFC bank, I gave it a shot and applied for this account.
Needless to say, IDFC is one of the best banks when it comes to their digital onboarding process, be it their credit cards or savings account, they have simply mastered the process of digital onboarding. Perhaps the older banks like HDFC and SBI can learn a lesson or two from the IDFC bank.
I managed to complete the entire account creation process within 5 minutes. Though the basic account has been created, my VKYC is still pending. Which I am planning to complete within the days to come.
Also, those having questions about debit card, I already received a message from their side where they have mentioned that debit card, cheque book issuance is free.
Also, they are offering personal accident cover upto Rs. 5,00000 which is not bad considering it is 0 MAB account.

IDFC don't charge anything for your debit card.So there will be annual charges for debit card,
They have only mentioned 0 issuance fee.

Customer care folks are one of the least informed guys, in most of the cases customer knows more than the customer care executives. Also, I have kept all the proofs handy with me, in case if the IDFC changes its mind in future and try to fleece money out of my by applying penalties, I will simply have options to escalate the case to PNO and ultimately to RBI Ombudsman. Not possible, the offer is targeted and they are verifying the customer credentials using the Aadhar and PAN details. Many folks tried to share the link with others but were not able to proceed after the Aadhar and PAN verification.Applicabe only for 10k account?
Is it possible to open this account under any name or any particular criteria (mobile number where message received will match, but account holder name will be different than existing credit card holder name of that bank)?
obviously, after Aadhar Authentication it will show up zero charges on 10k saving a/c if you have receive communication from idfc bankThanks. At which stage it showing that 0 fee, initially after opening link nothing changes. I didn't proceed further since it involves Aadhar OTP etc. so after this stage it showing those 0 charges?
VKYC done, the executive confirmed that it is indeed a 0 MAB account!! lets see how it goes with the monthly interest credit etc!after thinking about it, i finished the initial formalities as well! will complete the vkyc tomorrow morning 😀
