RBL/YES Credit Cards for online offers

So i was looking to add RBL and YES Bank credit cards to my portfolio for bank offers but didn't find any LTF cards which aren't co-branded. So i went ahead and applied for paid RBL Shoprite which i haven't activated yet hoping for retention offer. While applying for YES card, i stopped half way through the application and i received multiple calls from verified numbers stating they have started one month offer where they have waived off joining fees and following year free effectively making the card free for 2 years. The card shown to me was Prosperity Rewards card. I am not sure if i should take it as for both YES and RBL, the retention offers seem low according to the poll here and not sure if they ever will convert to LTF.

what is the one month period for FYF offer?

I tried to apply for Finbooster via Bank Bazaar. On the 2nd step, there was a mandatory checkbox to allow bank bazaar to contact me for promotional offers. So i stopped there only. Today i received a pre-approved sms for fin booster which had no such checkboxes so i went ahead and applied.

You can now apply for complimentary Yes Rupay credit card. It'll be beneficial for Rupay specific offers.


You can apply for RBL Paisabazaar duet card as well so that you don't have to worry about fees of Shoprite & can close it before renewal.

I sent an ai generated email to cardcancellation@rblbank.com saying the combination of annual fees, low reward rate and absence of online discounts no longer aligns with my expectations. Either cancel the card or give me LTF. The retention team called after 2 days and gave me FYF.

Yes, i have received this offer but i didn't avail it as i already hold Kotak League Platinum Rupay. I have explored Paisabazaar Duet but getting mixed reviews about it showing double credit line in CIBIL with one being loan, dropping cibil upto 40 points and cashback is capped to ₹250 per month.

They were upselling me with Platinum Maxima and Icon FYF before they approved my Shoprite Card. But i refused as i don't hold any prior relationship with them and making their basic card LTF has much higher chances and i only need it for online offers. Next year, i will try to make it LTF or 2nd year Free.

I have this card and can assure you there is no double credit line reported on CIBIL. Just a single credit card entry is there.

Today I have sent a mail to cardcancellation@rblbank.com for cancellation of RBL shoprite LTF card.. .in hope for upgrade to LTF world safari or ICON .... just now received sms / email that card has been blocked basis on your card cancellation request .
will the retention team call to give any offer or directly cancel card as requested???

Incase if offer retention which card to choose Safari / ICON ??
