Sorry. what do you mean by companion cards ? Supplementary cards or Cobranded cards ?
Companion cards as in Amex used to have an offer where one can apply for MRCC as companion to Gold charge card and pay only for Gold charge making MRCC LTF.
If you have platinum charge card then you can get Reserve or any basic card as your companion card. At the moment we don't have any such offers for other cards
Amex cards have very limited serviceble areas. How to apply if I'm not in serviceble pin code ?

If I apply for Amex card via VKYC do I need to be present in the same location as my Aadhar Address ?
My communication address and aadhar address are same but my current location is different from them.
Will VKYC be successful and card get approved in such cases ?
Yes
Even where I am currently staying is not under serviceable area however I had a address proof of serviceable area and vkyc was done and card approved

My Current address is also serviceable area but I don't have address proof for it , will the VKYC in that case , some guys mentioned their VKYC got rejected
as they didn't have any proof of stay for their current location.
Don't do the vkyc if your aadhar address is having different address as your current address. It would be of no use. Then you won't be able to apply for the same card again.
Amex has so much restrictions. This is one of them.

Check your DM
Won't work you have to change current address in any one of these aadhar, dl, voter id or passport to serviceable pincode. Permanent address and work address don't matter
