HDFC started downgrading accounts?

Hello Everyone,

I had opened a salary account after taking advice from forum. So got a 0 balance account salary account, I asked them to upgrade account to get better CC offers.

They had upgraded my account to Imperia. Recently I received mails for maintaining balance in my account.




Seems like they have also started actively downgrading accounts.

Any suggestions how can stop the downgrade? Or is it worth trying for Imperia status?

I have the platinum CC already I believe the change could be in account charges like IMPS charges etc.

With UPI in driving mode, how often are you using IMPS?
Mine is hardly 5 transactions in an year.

I do use IMPS when I have to transfer more than a lac and I believe for some 3-4 transactions per quarter till now.

I recently got the notification of downgrading from preferred. I mailed the RM and he showed me that my AQB in 2nd quarter of 2023-24 was below 2 lakhs. He kept replying over mail to maintain 2 lakhs but I had a preferred account cause of salary. Have changed RM 3 times but feels like all RMs are stupid.

First i received message of preferred program and then after few days message for imperia.
I am already an imperia customer.

For imperia obusly they will

Hdfc spare you for 2-3 quater then downgrade message start ..but thats ok u can upgrade again

If u maintain there is no downgrade ...
Much much better than axis

True, that’s why we need to confuse the system by maintaining at least 60 to 70 % of MAB at the end of a quarter for about a week or two, to avoid the downgrade

Sometimes it is a temporary technical glitch.

Wait for it to get completed. Everyone is seeing the same standard tag.
