Can I convert Axis Rewards to a no fee Neo Card

My Citi Rewards was migrated to Axis rewards which will be a 1000 Annual fee card. I wish to keep my card account since this is my oldest credit card. Can I request for this card to be converted to a ltf Neo card?

Even if they convert to NEO, The converted card will be treated as a new account.

In axis upgrade/downgrade are different compair to other banks.

Upgrade/downgrade means a new card and Nothing to do with your older card account.

If you downgrade then a new account will be created.

Yes you can downgrade to lifetime free neo card just before the time of renewal and avoid paying renewal fee.

but until the time of renewal you can use the card for 7000 at any clothes shop or department store and get 1120 points every month
