Infinia - Domestic lounge program

Hello!

I wanted to understand what the Domestic Lounge Program offered by HDFC Bank for Infinia customers is. From what I understand, currently, the primary cardholder and the add-on members can avail unlimited lounge access globally using the Priority Pass. I also see that the primary cardholder is eligible for the Domestic Lounge Program using their Infinia Card (not by using PP). How is this any different from using the PP? Are there more lounges included in the Domestic Lounge Program as compared to the lounges through Priority Pass?

If a lounge doesn’t accept hdfc cards or visa in general but accepts priority pass, then Infinia can get u in.
I don’t know how common this situation is tho.

It's weird that only the primary cardholder can use the Infinia card for domestic lounges and the add on member has to rely on the PP.

They can access any lounges but only through PP. (As per what is mentioned by HDFC)

ok so if it's only via pp then only lounges mentioned on prioritypass.com would be available i guess?

Yes but I’ve seen lounges that accept PP although they are not mentioned in PP.com

For Infinia,
Domestic lounges - You can access using either Infinia or PP, holds true for add-on Infinia cards and their associated PP (tried and tested as of Jan 2024)
International lounges - Only via PP

I talked infinia to customer care on same & also used in both domestic & international lounges.

From what i recall, we need to use infinia credit card when you are entering in domestic lounges & use priority pass when entering international lounge.

Try using the SaveSage app to track this. I have been using to manage all my credit cards and loyalty programs. Super helpful. better than Cred.

It asks for mandatory sms and phone access, which would mine financial data from users. I wouldn't trust some random app with such data, which makes it as worse as cred

Yes, i was also sceptical. I work in the investment banking space and granting anyone my phone access is the last thing i want to do.

Hence i checked. Android/ Google makes all apps go through a 3rd party audit and certification to ensure only transactional SMS are read (coming from specific TRAI registered short numbers), hence no one including SaveSage can access my private messages.

Secondly, I also checked on SaveSage. The founder seems to have good experience and pedigree. The venture is also backed by some marquee investors including Madhuri Dixit and Bhavesh Gupta (PayTM). I think you have to place your trust somewhere for convenience. But this is just my thought!
