Amex Taj Vouchers - I can use it any Taj or Vivanta hotel for my stay

Hi,

I had query on Taj vouchers which we can get using Amex MR points redemption or when we get on achieving milestone in Plat Travel.

Wanted to check whether I can use it any Taj or Vivanta hotel for my stay which I am booking using Taj website or do I need to confirm with the hotel before booking? Basically, are the vouchers valid for all stays booked from website or there are certain conditions for same?

Well till date, I have been able to make 21 Taj stays, Most of them were settled using Amex vouchers so far. I have upcoming stays in next month as well, Taj Malabar, Let's if it still works.

even i have used it many times in past, including for 3rd party bookings. this was the first hiccup. anyways do share your experience

Today I called they Taj they said the same thing..dont book on member rate...blah blah blah...anyways im thinking to go for itc mauraya, is there a way yo buy / exchange green points online?

Do we need to hold the AMEX card to redeem the voucher? I had AMEX Plat, got the Taj voucher on 4lac milestone but closed the card due to acceptance issue. I still have the validity on my voucher and planning to redeem it during diwali. While we settle the bill at hotel, do they ask for the AMEX card if bill is +10k?

Sorry, I forgot to mention it. But my redemption at taj Malabar was seamless, I was able to redeem couple of 10K amex taj vouchers against the stay, I booked the F&F rates at 50% off.

You can use the Amex Taj voucher if it is valid.

Few months back I had visited Rambagh was able to redeem voucher of 10k and balance paid by amex cc

Nope cardmember has to be there. What tou can do is when you book for your guests under your name. During checkin you can just tell them you would like to pay a part by voucher and ask them to redeem it in advance any other expense can be paid by yourself or guests at the time of checkout.
