Octane card didn't get seperate limit and split limit reduced SBI cashback to 20k only, what should I do ?

I have applied for SBI BPCL Octane and the card has been approved. But I haven't got seperate limit. I had 60k limit on my cashback card. They have transferred 40k limit to octane card and cashback card is left with 20k limit only. I need more limit. Tried LE from app it didn't work. I am yet to activate the Octane card.

Please Suggest how I can get the limit increased ? Also should I activate the Octane card or not. Please guide 🙏

As per SBI card policy, min 10/15k is floor limit for 499/999 cards and 40k for upper range cards.

Now what you can do is to call sbi cx and request transfer of total limit from octane card to cashback. They will confirm card closure and it should go through.

In this case for limit increase you have to wait for offer. Cause after new card issuance sbi does not take limit increase request for first 6 months. But you can adjust shared limit by calling CC. You can transfer limit from bpcl to cashback.

In my case I had bpcl octane with 5k limit only while rest 2L on other card for temporarily. Later made it 50:50

Thats on luck basis. Sometime they close your Card without trying to retain. Hence i would suggest call cc and ask for limit revision insteed of closing. Mention that you have planned spend for X Amount but limit is not sufficient.
